Wow. Listen to some of you people. "I don't like it," "Why won't they tell us more?", "The production is rough," "It doesn't sound enough like the Pixies."
Fwaugh.
It's not like new Pixies material is exactly dropping out of the sky like raindrops in Seattle. Apppreciate it for what it's worth: a gift. I believe it is exactly that.
Feels like Christmas. |

Make a playlist. Name it whatever. Drag the song into the playlist. Click on playlist. Click on the "burn CD".
Should be self-explanatory from then on.
Just keep in mind that iTunes requires you to make a playlist of anything you want to burn to CD. |

It's on Soulseek
It's also very good.. I agree very Pixies. Does anyone know if this song is an old one that they have never released, or whether it is a new song that they have recently written?

usually I'm all for sharing information, but in this case I have to question about posting a direct link to an exclusive iPod song on this forum. any other band, i wouldn't care, but .... ur first post is about directly linking illegal material, ur second post is showing that you don't know how to use the 'edit' button.

I like it too, get out of the Past, the pixies will never be the way they were 12 years ago, and who cares cause their all better musicians now anyway...love the casino music thrown into the song. |

To me, it sounds more like The Breeders or Kelley Deal 6000... Very good, and funny, anyway. |

If it makes you any more comfortable, I fully intend to 'buy' this download the second it's available to my country - and would have already were it available now. But dammit, it's a new Pixies song - I'm grateful for being given a chance to hear it that I otherwise wouldn't have...

Hey, thanks for the offer, but I think I have things under control now. After several attempts, I've finally figured out how to get it onto a disc. But thanks for the offer. Edit: Also, thanks FrankenSpock for the instruction.

Am I wrong in remembering that in the late 80's/early 90's there was a grunge'ish band (for lack of a better word, sorry) in Seattle called Bam Thwok? I can't find any references in Google, but then again, there weren't really no internet back in them days either...
Or, I'm just hallucinating...v |

Good song. I agree with the fella above who said it's bubblegum. But for me that's a good thing. It sounds more like classic Archies than classic Pixies and I don't mind a bit. It gets stuck in your head. |

Man, this is great..... I've been listening to this song a couple of dozen times since I found out about it last night. I think it does hold up well, fun song, and it is just so cool to me to think the Pixies are doing new stuff. It was exciting enough to me to think they were even back, but now to have the first new Pixies song in such a long time is even greater.
If this really means there might be a whole new album coming out, I don't know what I'll do.

Bubblegum exactly, but not the kinda stuff you'd want to throw away. I am delighted with this song. And it's got fairground organ solo!

That organ break in the middle sounds a little too pasted-on for me. I think I'd like it more if the organ "solo" happened as the band continued to play instead of it bringing the song to a halt for 20 seconds.
But no matter. It's all good, as the kids say. |

This song really is unusual, nothing like the Pixies have ever done in a number of aspects. I don't remember the Pixies ever sampling or completely changing tracks, so to speak, right in the middle of the song. Still sounds like a Mike Patton homage right there in the middle, if you ask me. Then after that, it's like the song completely starts over again, none of their other songs did that except possibly Bailey's Walk. And Lovering's drumming follows the song (a little too) tightly than most of the Pixies' other stuff. IMO, it doesn't sound like a Pixies' song, it sounds like a "Frank Black and the Breeders" song. It's slowly growing on me. |

There were actually a few early versions of songs that did that. They were changed for albums but subbacultcha and I'm Amazed were like that before. It was kind of like what happened with Sweet Jane by VU.

I really love this, I nearly shit a brick when I went to the main page and saw this. For about two seconds I considered not listening to it because I was afraid it would be terrible. It really does fit with the rest of their catalog and it really does sound like a pixies song even though it has that breeders kind of thing to it since kims singing and its more complicated than her other pixies songs, so if we do get a new album which it looks like we might, I doubt we'll be disappointed going by this.
Anyway, I didn't really have anything to say, just gushing with excitement, we need more info on this track now.
EDIT: It's nice to have a properly mastered Pixies song, all the albums really have a volume problem compared to other bands albums. We need a quality version of this though, god i hate mp3 especially 128. |

I like the song. I liked it the second time I listened to it. Indeed a cross between The Breeders and Boom Chick A Boom. I had the chorus in my head all day long. Bring some more and play this one live tomorrow !!! |

I don't think it was really much of a problem,it was supposed to be that way,I think this new song has the volume problem, hardly hear the bass and drums are quite low aswell
