Sleater-Kinney, THE HOT ROCK. On repeat. I guess I could turn something else on now. This morning it was SHOW ME YOUR TEARS.

_____________________________________________________________________
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where..." said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"...so long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

Can't stop listening to Pixies stuff since seeing them on Saturday. How predictable is that. Was the live disc from DTTP on the way in to work today.

I am getting lost in Turn On The Bright Lights by Interpol. Amazing stuff. Just started. Untitled is just breath taking.

And now this guy with a trembly voice is bludgeoning Candy Says. Lou Reed lets guest artists ruin his live album!

The Wannadies, Be A Girl.

Yeah Tom, The Walkmen don't have another song to match The Rat. I saw them live the other week and that's how I felt.

Wilco - Less than you think (i'm going to have to skip) Bring back the country music! I like Wilco, but I think I'm beginning to be left behind. I like YFTH, but when I listen to AM I remember what has been lost.

Mike, The Rat has a certain 'monkey gone to heaven' about it, or something. I'm not sure why. Do you know what I mean? Imagine my disappointment!

Besides the songs, how were they live?

the problem is that 'the rat' is TOO good. that whole album is amazing, but it's hard to hear because 'the rat' blows everything else away. track 10 comes close, though.

i'm currently listening to "girl from the north country" by dylan. it's the most beautiful song i've ever heard.
