In my never ending search for new music.
What album do you find yourself playing the most frequently lately? Why?
I have 'FAKES' (Dzihan and Kamien) in very heavy rotation at the Homer house these days. It is very good electronica, quite jazzy. I'm just getting into electronica really and these guys were one of my first discoveries. My friend is a DJ and had never heard of them before I gave him a copy. He thinks they are unreal.
Post a picture if you can.

The last couple of weeks, my old "Power Corruption and Lies" New Order CD's been getting a workout.
Why? Just give it a listen and you will know why. And the cover's damn purdy, too.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

I've mostly just been listening to my music on random as of late.

at home these:
these albums all work well together and fit into my current mood of black coffee drinkin' cigarette smokin' dimmed lights reading books on the sofa with a blanket/ writing endless essays by low lamplight
in the library late at night far too much of this:
because in a dark library at 3am cranked up bloody loud through the headphones it makes my head feel like an explosion

I was listening to this one quite a bit last week:
I got this album a little over a week ago:
And, while I haven't actually listened to it all the way through (some of the songs are kind of boring), I've been playing quite a few songs from this one today:
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

KoK, its os mutantes - for that record (about 1/2 of it is in english) they were trying to "break" into america, so they dropped the 'os'

its good if you already know their stuff. its not a good place to start. there are english versions (totally new recordings, not just redone vocals) of "a minha menina," "panis et circenses," "baby," and a really cool, alternate, funky version of "bat macumba." you can get it used for under $10 on amazon. if you like their other stuff, its cool to hear the new, rerecorded versions of the tracks. plus some of the other tracks like "virginia" and "i feel a little spaced out" are interesting.

I can't get enough of 'The Comas' Conductor. Best album of '04 you never heard.
The DVD that comes extra with the CD is the best I've seen yet. It is not filled with utter crap. Instead the band hired someone, probably a friend, to make a film that is the length of the CD. I guess you could say it's a full length music video DVD. Favorite songs are, Moonrainbow, Tonight On The WB, The Last Transmission, Employment & Oh God.
Click here to listen to some of their songs. Yep Roc Records

I've been listening to some Crowded House for the first time in ages since hearing Paul Hester has committed suicide over Easter. They've made quite a few brilliant songs.
I listen to Guero a lot too.

Hey Tony, how's it going. They are my new favorites. I saw them back in '01 opening for the Toadies. I also think they opened up for FB&TC's in '03.
I'd like to hear some of what you suggested but you have to give me some links to click cause I'm to lazy to do the searching myself. That goes for everyone else also.
