The new Cure album, hoping I enjoy it. This is my first listen. I wasn't digging the single.

AC Newman...
It seemed mediocre, until I realized it was this New Pornographers guy was from !!Zumpano!!, one of the greatest bands of the 90s! And now, this is my favorite album.

So his prior band makes a mediocre album great? I guess I've been in that boat before too, can't really say much.

Am currently enjoying a track called when Jesus Gets a Brand New Name by the ever wonderful Jim White, to be followed by the best of talking heads & p'raps a little Josh Ritter at some point..

Ugh. I hated that show.
Listening to "Psycho Killer" - Talking Heads (apropos of the "Show Yourselves" thread, I guess, but it's on the radio. Coinkydink?)

I never actually saw Three's Company. When John Ritter died, I had no idea who he was. I was too busy being sad about Johnny Cash dying.

All Music Guide, while being a good source for info and discographies, can fuck off with some of their reviews. They said the new Wilco album didn't offer anything different from Wilco. Excuse me? Has Jeff Tweedy ever ripped into solos like he does on At Least That's What You Said before on an album? Has Wilco ever done anything like Spiders (kidsmoke) before? There's a shitload of new shit on A Ghost Is Born, but AMG seemed to think it was a rehash of YHF. Fuck that!

I might be up for a while, there's no way I'm getting any sleep yet.

At this particular moment, 12:33 AM, Eastern Time (New York time baby), I'm listening to "Hey: A Pixies Tribute," specifically, Debaser by Mother Universe.
However, of late, in my head, I've had Clootie's Big Red.

Bill Hicks goooood.
Right now I'm listening to some schmuck in the next bay over watching some movie on his PC. There's a car chase going on right now.
I mean, I know its a call center and most of the clients we support are on holiday and I'm making 2.5X regular pay, but man...I'm trying to get some sleep, you know?

Don't come back to soon now, Hollywood and the mass media seem to think 15-17 year olds are all the rage, not to mention HOT, so stick with it. You could Lindsay Lohan your way right to the top.
