I'm listening to Futuristic Sex Robots quite a bit lately. And FB&TC's when I'm in my car.

That reminded me to play The Democratic Circus again after so long. Awesome.

The new album from Noah and the Whale has taken me by surprise. A lot better than their debut from a few years ago which I think I only ever listened to 4 times. A lot catchier, bit of a different direction, more 80's synth rock. |

I'm really liking Yuck. Reminiscent of Dino Jr which is always a good thing. Get Away is a fantastic song.
Must stick on some Replacements. Drunkenly met a stranger in a club who had the same music taste as me. Vaguely recall singing a song with him, hopefully it wasn't Unsatisfied (we were talking about that for ages); as good of a song that it is, it's definitely not the material to be drunkenly singing in a club's smoking area. Nightclub jitters. |

This was the first song I heard this morning and it's been in my head all day. Of course, the only way it will go away is by listening to it a crazy amount, which I have been doing.

it's been all hip hop for me lately. more than usual. del, pharcyde, ghost, rae, mos def. plus the new MMJ.
and the new radiohead is still getting spins and getting better and better. i really really dig little by little, feral, lotus flower, codex, and the separator.

The Absence of a Canary by Ceramic Hello. The trippiest maddest album I think I have ever heard. 80's new wave synth pop, a rare classic from 1980. They have recently reformed and are released a new album as well I think.
I've never heard anything like it. Imagine the music from Clockwork Orange but even more outwordly and experimental. A good mix of classical moog synth arpeggios and minimal elektro beats. You might need to be in the right moog though, but certainly I'd say it's a good album to get high and listen to.

The whole album is amazing Villainde. Check these guys out. Not so good quality on this clip but it's a nice song. From the album Protoype by Experimental Product.

Nick Cave and Neko Case collaborating to cover She's Not There by The Zombies. Delightful.
Absolutely adore Neko's voice which is both angelic and powerful at the same time while Cave's one of my favourite singer songwriters with a brilliant voice of his own. |

I wish I could find some new music that "grabs" me! I like the new Decemberists. The new Death Cab is okay- hasn't grown on me yet. Wish Ween would come out with a new CD. The new Deerhunter is good and the Fleet Foxes but I want something to blow my mind. You got anything? I'm dying here? |

You heard any of that stuff with Avey Tare? Spirit they've gone or something... It's quite interesting.
Also got into Deerhoof recently, and Stereolab, and Stereo Total.
Just listening to some bluegrass radio now, too lazy to look for anything else. I think it's time from scrunchy guitars. |

Not really listening to alot of new stuff honestly (though I'm excited about the new HELLA album). Recently it's been chiptunes from the '00s and pre-Elvis rock singles.
There are a few newer bands I kinda dig...Best Coast, Metric, uh what else? |
