Yeah, that site is a bit off-putting. (Thanks, Monsieur!) Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

CHICK VOTE
These guys have been really honest! We should treasure this great insight into the male psyche.
Now, based on the guys' responses, whose post really made you swoon or really made you think twice? I know a couple of them made me happy when I read them. ...................................
It's amazing how the content remained PG.

What is PG?
I don't know if the link I posted was an epitome of the average male psyche, but if it is, I am scared.

I have to say that ElBart0 (please don't feel objectified, Jimmy) with his poignant, almost pornographic honesty gets my vote.

Yeah, they were all great, but El Barto's was hard to not love. I think if a guy was that honest to me in person, I'd have to flash.
See, this is a great insight into the female psyche for all of the guys, too!
Monsieur, "PG" is a term that is used for American movie ratings to determine what is appropriate for children. G=General Audiences (everyone), PG=Parental Guidance suggested for children under 14?, R=restricted to adults over 17, X=very fun

I guess I just wasn't made for these times.
Well, I must say that I occasionaly like big breasts. However, I am sometimes really attracted to girls who have smaller breasts and beautiful legs. It makes them look more fragile, more helpless, less "russ meyer", and that's what I like about girls.
Huge breasts are not very classy.

Merci, Monsieur.
Vous vivez très loin loin.
(Loin has a totally different meaning in English...I hope Babelfish did a good translation??) In English, this looks like you have very long loins. |

Get a room, you two!
Monsieur, a question pour toi (if I may be so familiar as to use "toi"):
About the "fragile, helpless" thing you mention above. Do you prefer short or tall women. Specifically, do you assume a woman is more fragile or whatever due to a lack of height?
Thank you for helping with my scientific poll and hypothesis.

No, I think that being fragile is quite disonnected from height. It is directly correlated to being fat, however.

Fragility? That can also be emotional. I'm resilient about most things, but not love. |

Stop using complicated words, Pfeffa. What is "resilient"?
Of course fragility is emotional, but as most of people I tend to take people for what they seem to be, and judge them by their physical appearence. I really think that the analogical communication is much more important than the digital message.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's Thomas Jefferson who said "What you are speaks so loud that I can't hear what you're saying".

Oh, I am sick of the fragility thing and so glad to be married. I'm 5 foot 1 and ****every**** guy who has ever been interested in me has been more than a foot taller than me and wanted to "take care of me" and totaly gotten off on being so much bigger than me.
Though my husband is more than a foot taller than me he doesn't do that and it's a relief and one of the reason I married him. Fragility, my ass.

Hey, Kathryn, I am not a macho at all, if that's what you're talking about. I don't think being petite means being "fragile", actually I find smaller women very energetic and "garçon manqué".
If I were a girl, I would probably like fragile boys as well.

"What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say." - Ralph Waldo Emerson, writer and philosopher (1803- 1882)
In English, this means that the way a person acts is more meaningful than what he has to say.
Resilient means able to recover...as in, able to overcome a tragedy or bad situation.
Now, teach us some fabulous French terms. |

Monsieur, I never took you for macho -- and that is a compliment, mon cher. I am very energetic but have never understood the "garcon manque" expression.
Can you explain?
I don't like fragile boys, not one bit. Neither emotionally nor physically fragile. But there is a lot of territory between macho and fragile ... I guess I like guys who are kind of physically big (um, Frank, comes to mind...as does my tall tall husband and former boyfriend) but intelligent and tender.

Fck, my professor of negociation told us it was Jefferson. I knew that asshole was a charlatan.
"Garçon manqué" is a nice French term, actually.
As for love, it is a hollow word, it depends on what you put inside. Read Proust, when you have some time (actually, when you have REALLY a lot of time). Noone described it in such a fine way.

Garcon manque = manky boy?
Just out of interest, at what stage does big become too big? How about 6'3, 200 pounds?

If a girl is a garçon manqué, it means she would have been a good boy. Smaller people (both girls and boys) are usually more energetic, it's an inferiority complex (see Adler).
I don't define myself as fragile, I've been living away from my family since 12 and my current job requires to be very very tough (I sometimes feel like swimming with sharks). But being tough doesn't necessarily mean not having emotions, I think that the real strength is being able to include your emotions in your "toughness".
I don't like emotionnaly unstable girls either, what I meant by fragility was a way some girls "wear" their emotions.

Heheh, very true. I can't do measurements in pounds actually, so that may be wrong. I'm about 14 1/2 stone, which is about 200lb I think. Apparently its not too far off the right weight for my height, but don't quote me on that.

I know the question was for Monsieur, but I can tell you, that would be a very stupid thing to assume. My wife is small and she's one tough cookie. In fact, being small certainly contributed in making her a strong person, because she had to armor herself against mockery, curious stares and all that shit.
Other case in point: Kristin Hersh. Small woman, strong woman.

Mr. Cheeseman, to satisfy your curiosity and for what it's worth (not much) 6' 3'' is the height of the shortest guy I've ever dated.
Some women like them tall, I guess.
OK, I'm gonna go consider whether I am brave enough to look at that link. Can someone peek and tell me how scary it is?
