I know he was at V festival last weekend, and he's at reading this week, I spoke to him last saturday but his presence has been missed.
Maybe he's out actually, you know, doing stuff!

doing stuff! In the real world! are you mad? I'm working this weekend (booo) and when I'm not working I have bought two new books to read, the plan was to keep myself so busy I'd forget I'm not at the festival, but my welsh friends are texting me all the time to tell me about the three litres of piss and the 50 cent is a gay sign they've got for when 50 cent graces the stage at leeds. They are very drunk. They really have saved three litres of piss, I almost convinced one of them to drink it

yes mike is definately at reading, got a few texts from him. he'd seen modest mouse (well half the set) on friday (good lad! he learns quick!) and seems to be having a good time, weather is fine apparently...
And it's hard to be a human being, and it's harder as anything else, and I'm lonesome when you're around, and I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself, and I miss you when you're around. |

And now I am back and I don't fucking want to be, no offence I don't mean here, I mean at home, in Manchester, I want to be in a field with live music and beer and food and live music and like-minded people and live music and no inhibitions and live music and girls and live music and sun and live music and no full stops!

Christ! You enjoyed Reading *that* much? It was quite possibly the worst festival of my life last year... Did they ban all those fucking annoying young kids who are getting stoned and drunk for the first time, acting like prats all night?
I've vowed never to return. It's only T-in-the-Park and maybe Glasto from now on for me...
