In Q Magazine Daniel Radcliffe, star of Harry Potter "reveals" his current musical interests.
When I saw Velouria I was pleasantly surprised but when I saw Thalassocracy I nearly fell off my chair.
However this happiness was soon cancelled out by their 2-star review of the Martinis' "Smitten."

Well, when you've been raised by your abusive uncle who hates you because you're a wizard, you're probaby excited about ANY kind of rock music.

Well, I'd say not knowing whether you killed your girlfriend is pretty amazing. Not in the same way Frank is, though.

Every time I see that kid's name, I hear "Billy Radclif" in my head.

Not necessarily, but probably there are more Billy Radclif fans here than Harry Potter fans.

Thalassocracy!(a personal favorite) Hey, yes, that kid has awesome taste indeed!
I think I read something somewhere sometime ago that this kid is also a Sex Pistols fan? Hmm.

He probably just got it from Dave Eggers recent Spin article about his favorite songs, in which he mentioned Thalossocracy |

Aren't Frank fans more common than Dave Eggers fans, though? Or am I just out of touch?

I have never understood why millions of people adore those books. Maybe it's just me who doesn't get it. I would just die if I learned that Charles is a Harry Potter freak like seemingly everybody else on the planet. It would fucking floor me.

It's because the language is simple and the writing is big, millions of people buy Hello and OK and I'll never understand that.

Yesterday, I found a copy of Hello in the recycling bin at the groovy organic grocery store (Becks and Posh on the cover!) and it felt dirty to pick it up and look thru it, as if the whole town were watching me buy porn or something. Your fabulous Brit trashy mags are so hard to find in the States.
