today my boss' took us golfing, even though we have tons of shit to do. it was nice to let go after the past two hellish weeks (i've been working nonstop).. and i played well. AND he paid. AND then bought lunch..
then, at lunch, our waiter brought us out shots of this flavored vodka on the house. to "clear our pallets," he said.
my boss' don't drink, but me and another work cohort tried some. people keep offering me alcohol this week. i feel blessed.

i was interesting, but not my thing. too sweet and cough-syrupie. but, you can't really complain about free drinks.
i really would have liked to try that tequila yesterday (supposedly he had some good stuff) but i can't get in the habit of drinking during the work week days. i love drinking too much as it is, if i started that, that would be the end.
but for a special occasion, sure.
by the way, among all the the highlights today, i think getting complimented on my golf swing (i'm a newby) and generally impressing my co-workers was the highlight.
isn't this topic bright and sunshiney?

No, It makes me think what a boring day ive had today!!!
OK, lets think. Erm, I had a really nice bath. And there was a cricket on my ceiling that was staring at me when i was in the bath. pervy cricket.
Erm. Oh, I found a shop that sells 'Riesen'. This very rich chocolate chewy square things. completely addictive. german mde I believe.
Oh, and I spoke to Cheeseman on the phone today. that was fun. Apart from he called me a slapper.
And, last but by no means least. this very nice young man from my 'home town' that I met 2 weeks ago has just offered to pay for my train ticket up there, and to stay at his apartment for the weekend. What a lovely man. Hehehe

| Yesterday I decided to take a yoga class in midtown Manhattan, which started at 7:30 p.m. It was on the 12th floor of a building, which was novel for me, having lived in L.A. for the past several years. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that since it was my first time there, the class would be free. The teacher was great, and through the studio windows I could see the sky getting darker as the class progressed. After class I walked out on the sidewalk to find the sky dark and the beautiful skyscrapers of New York lit up. I entered the subway, swiped my metro card, and wasn't charged- the reader treated my trip as a transfer. |

I guess my highlight today was having an old friend living far away...one of these where there was always that unspoken sexual tension tell me she really missed me and hoped to be able to to get back to town to see me sometime....and then another girl that I used to know - another sort of unrequited - that lives in DC (works at the Smithy running the gardens...all natural and crunchy) said she's coming in to WV to do some work on the house and would make the 3 HOUR DRIVE over to see me...if I were available.
Yassss. I think so.
Also - craving Patty Larkin this morning on the drive in and my disk not skipping on "Me and That Train"...and then jerking a tear listening to Gram Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris sing "Oh my land is like a wild goose..."
Beautiful.

After waking up at a party at 6 in the morning and walking home, half asleep, I got in my own bed and slept til 3 in the afternoon. That was nice.

I expelled my lunch in a projectile manner in the toilets of the yellow pub in sheffield whilst graffiting the toilet wall with pixies lyrics. I then chain smoked and drank a big cup of black coffee and felt much better untill I got to Birmingham new street station where I projectiled my coffee.
I've decided highlights are a myth.
I don't mean to sound bitter, cold, or cruel, but I am, so that's how it comes out.

lets see, so far today, I was sicked again and had to phone into work to tell them I was pooly and then i slept till half ten, I suppose lie-ins are good.
Actually floop I think the highlight of my sunday was signing the lease on my new beautiful flat that I get to move into in just over four weeks! I am SO excited!

Highlight of my week-end: being able to build a wooden table for my PC monitor, with my own hands. I had never built anything before.
Today's highlight was seeing again that girl on my way to work. She's blonde and gorgeous, and rides a bike while dressed in the sexiest outfit you could think of. I saw her 2 weeks ago and she had that amazing miniskirt on, and today she was wearing tight white pants and a thong. That's a great way to start the week.

Very much so. An attractive women makes a big difference on a Monday. My highlight was finding out that a ridiculously gorgeous woman on the train gets off at my stop. Phase 1 in process...

Cheesy, im hurt.
My highlight today was finding out my next door neigh bours 35 year old son is moving back in for a little while.
Woohoo. Now theres one hell of a convenient f*** buddy. lets hope hes as hot as he is in the pics!
