mine:

i was getting a burrito, to go, at a newly-discovered taco stand near my work. it's fucking excellent. they have everything and it's sooo cheap.

the guy behind the counter, who looks exactly like the mexican guy in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, asked me if i wanted a shot of tequila.

bear in mind, this is a small taco stand that does NOT serve alcohol.

sadly, i had to decline (i have some scruples i live by), but that made my day.

what's yours?

It's 3am, I've spent the evening chatting with this gorgeous, gorgeous girl from Denmark (actually Faroese Islands) and I will see her again on Friday.

Needless to say I am overexcited.

Managed to buy my best friend the Madonna Sex book for her birthday (at stupidly low price on ebay) - she's a fan, not of the music more of the woman when she was good - not any of the kabbalah/esther nonsense. AND my dress for the Kerrang awards arrived and it looks damn hot.

Was just going to fill up the tractor to cut the grass [read: jungle], when I spilled gasoline all over my hands, and it burns and I reek of it now, even after multiple washings.

You know those "Easy-pour" plastic containers, with the little clear plastic tube the you pull out? Don't use them.

I'm bleeding, the neighbours' cat attacked me. I'm looking after the monster as my neibours are away. Yesterday I noticed the cat's eye seemed inflamed, this morning it looked even worse. So this afternoon (the first time I'm home early in weeks) I got some valium from the vet, this cat is pretty mean so I knew he had to be sedated in some way, dropped it in his food and waited. After 30 min the cat became all drowsy but when I picked him up, wap! Nails in my arm. OK, so now I'm waiting for the 2nd valium to make this kitty go really floppy and cool.

My afternoon planned for a good book and music up in smoke and scratches.

I know exactly what you mean. I was just wondering if floop was like that because of valium or if it was more of a genetic disorder.

Nah Shine, recently my days at work have been so horrible that this is at least something exciting and different. Also I misinterpreted the topic somewhat.

And after 20mg Valium this cat is neither floppy nor floopy and nowhere near willing to go into the transport basket. The vet shall do a housecall.

It had only seven legs yet was a giant which lead me to believe it had lived a long life fightin other spiders and human folk, leading to the loss of a leg but not its death....

And it escaped from my cellophane prison, a clever slippery like a fox battle spider.....

It was a battle spider, but in the end, I bested it, I shook like a leaf and it fought hard but in the end a twat on the head/abdo/thorax with a long metal vacuum tube and 1300W suction sealed and left on for 15 mins were too much for even the most vicious of battle spiders.

Grr

Well, I turned 16 sometime in the middle of the night...so I woke up when my dad played "Birthday" by the Beatles REALLY loud. Thought it was kinda funny. Since then I've been listening to the White Album on repeat. Fun stuff.

I got one, hehe, I'm still giggling.
I just got off the phone with my 4 year-old daughter.
The babysitter had called from her house a few doors down to tell me that my girl had thrown a tantrum when they were outside playing and ran back inside and promptly locked the door with the sitter still outside. She was freaked out but this is pretty much par for the course for my little one.
So I called home and she answered. I convinced her to let the sitter back in, sheesh.

OK, I finally had a highlight today.

I managed to get the entire gas can hose into the tractor tank, and filled that puppy up. Started cutting the front yard, and the weather was lovely, nice cool wind, sunny, 70 degrees. Going up and down the top of the hill, my old buddies the swallows came swooping in to catch the bugs displaced by the John Deer behemoth. They've gotten braver, and the three of them were diving a mere few feet in front of me. They're beautiful and graceful, and amazing to watch. They make me laugh, and today for some reson, they made me so happy I smiled like a goon and got teary-eyed.

Blech. Too sappy, but screw it. I'm gonna embrace my cheesy highlight and revel in it anyway.
