Well, see, I told you about the walrus and me, man. I tell you, we're as close as can be, man. But he's planning on moving away to the Arctic, and that makes me upset.

Hey I never implied you didn't like Obla Di Obla Da but that the Beatles didn't like it.

Obladi Oblada is so-so, but the xylophone (or whatever instrument it is) during the last verse makes the song a gem.

By the white album, Lennon was obviously not into cuteness. Yoko is proof of that. So it's not surprising he wouldn't like Obla Di either. |

"Why Don't We Do It In The Road" was performed by just Paul and Ringo, so you could get a close-to-full sound with that song. And as far as the White Album goes, several were performed by just Paul and none of the other Beatles. Honey Pie, Blackbird, Mother Nature's Son and Rocky Raccoon to name a few. Though George Martin did play the honkey-tonk piano on the last song there, and he's still alive.

You could just kidnap the remaining Beatles and have them play the songs for you. It wouldn't be the same without John and George, though, would it?
Yeah, I tried that, but it sounded weird. Imagine bass-and-drums-only covers of Beatles songs. It just didn't work.

I looked it up after I got offline last night and listened to the song, heard the harmonica, then realized I'm stupid. I was going to correct myself but you beat me to it. Nice work. |
