They're very good. Imagine Peter Gabriel being backed by a barber shop quartet, in a 21st century gospel church.

Agreed. His recent album is highly recommended.

Rogue Wave "Out of the Shadow"

Precious little girls, er.. guys who know how to write catchy songs with their guitars. Lots of repetition, in which I hate, but not too annoying. It's catchy on the first listen, and will keep your ears busy for a few weeks. The wife will like this one.

I rate it: 8/10
Sound: Simple and delicate indie rock from Subpop.
Sounds like: The Shins + The New Pornographers + Zumpano + Beatles.

Elliott Smith - Coast to Coast

I got an early copy of From A Basement on the Hill. It is a great album but, it is sad to listen to know that there will not be more music made by this wonderful singer/songwriter. I have heard that Elliott had 30 songs started for From A Basement on the Hill and the cd that comes out in Oct. only has 15 songs on it.

I'm on the new Mark Lanegan album, Bubblegum - the track is 'Wedding Dress'.

This is a brilliant album, by the way. If perchance you enjoy Queens Of The Stone Age, you should like this one, but it'll appear wider than that too. Lanegan has an ace voice.

Just bought Kraftwerk's Radioactivity. That's a very fine record. I also got the Sex Pistols' LP. I'm just saying it because there's no "What are you gonna listen to in 30 minutes?" thread.

I watched "The good, the bad and the ugly" last night (for a 100th time) so I've got Morricone playing in my head right now.
