When I was a kid, I used to watch it with my father - who is a fan of Clint Eastwood. As he says : no one wears a hat like Clint does! |

This is a brilliant album, by the way. If perchance you enjoy Queens Of The Stone Age, you should like this one, but it'll appear wider than that too. Lanegan has an ace voice.

Really? I was led to believe it was more chilled than that. More acoustic. Is that wrong?

'we could break the land speed rrrrecord!!' gotta love tanya.
I so am at the moment. I saw her in London a couple of weeks back with Benji, he'll tell you how much I loved it. I only had one Belly and the new album to go on before, but i'm catching up quick.
Acrobat: awesome The Storm: probably the greatest song ever
Michael. Its quite acoustic in some parts, but there's always some swirly organ to accompany or something. Very moody and atmospheric at times. It also rocks on a regular basis.
I suggest this month's Record Collector for a good review.

I am listening to a free CD I got from NME today. It's various artists from the Domino Records label. Not bad. 16 tracks. Bargain.

I'm listening to the new Biffy Clyro single, for some reason. I really don't know anything about this band, and I'm not particularly persuaded to delve further than this.

The Undertones-My Perfect Cousin The Wannadies-You and Me song Dogs Die in hot cars-I love you cause i have to Doves-Pounding Idlewild-You held the world in your arms
i don't even like these bands that much(apart from the undertones) but they're satisfying my adreneline-want at present. makes me want to dance around like some sort of...dancer.

Sunny Day Real Estate, all four albums.
Someone is putting together a SDRE tribute album and i'm thinking about signing up for the song "Hot It Feels to be Something On." The wife is considering "Rain Song."

I was cranking Sunny day all weekend.
Now it's Pretty Girls Make Graves, which I noticed the other day is the name of a Smiths tune.

They're very good. Imagine Peter Gabriel being backed by a barber shop quartet, in a 21st century gospel church.
heard the mr. grieves cover yet? |

I saw a guy with a Pretty Girls Make Graves shirt on a while ago.
Thought he must be a fellow Smiths fan. I said something about how you don't see too many people wearing Smiths gear. He didn't know who the Smiths were.
