I've been feeling really run down lately, can't get out of bed in the morning, almost nodding out at work. Coffee doesn't do much, Red Bull either. Does anyone know of any pills or supliments that will help. Do those energy bars work? Would something like Vivran help or will it just make me jumpy? I heard on the radio that Ephedrin is still available for a week or so in the US, what about that?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, jimmy |

you should exercise. exercise gives you lots of energy, and makes you feel better in general. |

Heeeey brah, ya gotta, like, get crystals into your possession, maaaan. Yeah, like, they're really groovy. And they contain energy. And stay away from energy vampires. You know, like, those people that when you look in their eyes, you can feel them sucking the energy from you. And go outside a lot, man, cuz being indoors with all the walls around you, those walls are, like, dead energy, man. You gotta get outside and soak up the sun, maaaan. Yeah.

jimmy, you should make a trek to Sedona, AZ and hang around the Vortexes. you can feel the energy from within a 5 mile radius.
plus, there are a lot of braless women there. |

I recently took up Yoga. Been doing it once a week for a couple of months and I feel way more energetic. I'd recommend it to anybody of any age/sex/shape/size/whatever.
Seriously - it's great! I'm all supple and stuff again. |

I feel about the same, jimmy.
A co-worker recommended I start on Xenedrine (sp?) or Hydroxycut (sp? again)
She claims it gives her tons of "Thermogenic" energy AND keeps her weight down.
-
I haven't tried it, though. I'm loyal to caffeine.

Robert Onion Freedom Rock I Think I'm Starting To Lose It Blast Off Jaina Blues The Black Rider I Gotta Move Valley Of Our Hope
etc.
Buy a Walkman. Pop said tape in. Play it continuously.

This is slightly off topic, but I noticed in my visits to the US that there seems to be a pill-instant-solution culture. Every other commercial was for this kind of pill or that. I found it a little scary.
Mor energy can be as simple as making sure you're drinking enough water and eating well-balanced meals. Heavy starches take a lot of energy and water to get them converted into sugars your body can use. Things like citrus fruits have sugar that needs only one conversion to make it into usable energy and therefore is more instant.
Caffeine has been proven to actually have a net negative effect on energy levels. A positive spike for awhile and then as you come down, unless you take another 'hit', you end with less energy than you started with.
And exercise is pretty important, too... probably the most critical for positive energy levels. Winter time, people tend to get out of shape. Even an hour of exercise a week will really help get the body producing more energy.
Finally, as our local Jedi hath pointed out, nothing can be better than some solid music.
Forget the pills.

keep active, it does not have to include excercise. do more, keep your mind active(less TV if you watch), and you will sleep better. better sleep will give you more energy.
or a daily regiment of crack.

Hey I had a small debate before on that topic. I think sex is good exercise, if you did it 2-3 times a week do you think you could skip the gym entirely? |

Boost up to five or six, then maybe you can justify skipping the gym altogether. Or just use it as an excuse to solicit more sex from your partner

My excuse for not going to the gym is that I don't want to, my justification for eating chicken and chips at lunch is that I'll eat slightly less in the evening, and my exercise consists of walking 5 minutes each way to the tube station. I go to bed too late (cos of this forum!) and struggle to get going til about midday.
Do you think anything needs to change?

Interesting, but ultimately flawed. See, the nearest burgers is McD's, but the nearest chicken is proper greasy chicken shop. there's a choice of two shops, and I can vary between hot wings and fillet burger, so boredom is no problemo

If you drink more (well, enough - critical mass varies) you will stop caring that you have no energy.

"Ride the snake"- that was the best thing SNL did in the 90's.
I'm not doing Energy Bars- did anyone see the obits today- the guy who created those dropped dead in line at the post office at the age of 51.
Now that the weather is getting better I'm going out walking at night again- I think that'll help.
Thanks for the tips, everyone, I think I'll be feeling better soon.
