I guess that's a "none" since no rational person would consider that a war.

Yes, it's terrible that citizens of Syria are trying to remove Assad. I suppose the US is also to blame for the "terrible" event in Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia. If the US had just kept their noses out of it there would be great "stability" in the Middle East.

I venture to bet that the women of Afghanistan would prefer our "terrible" human right abuses over those in Afghanistan. And it's that kind of excuse that leads to us to ignore tragedies like in Rwanda.

Is that the opposite of a "theoretical" war?

Yeah you're right. No people in prison who shouldn't be, no violent cartels murdering people, no DEA forcing their way into people's homes and accidentally shooting a peaceful, unarmed citizen. No, that's not a WAR ON DRUGS.

No I think I pretty much said what I wanted to say. Maybe you are just too stupid to discern the meaning I was inferring.

You are right. we should totally invade Saudi Arabia then, and liberate the people from oppression. Of course it would mean temporarily interrupting a large oil supply in exchange for defence contracts, but I'm sure they could steam in and take over the country in a few weeks, like they would have done in Iraq if only they hadn't ballsed up the whole thing and slaughtered/tortured thousands of people in the process.
Can you see a pattern forming here? Are you in denial about the truth of what your country stands for?

I'm sure some would love to be sent to prison, and maybe get raped by some body builders who would be happy to punch your teeth out if you don't give a good enough blow job. Or if they are lucky they can come and live with one of their rich uncles and then get stoned to death for adultery.
Terrible they way they treat their women, but is it really my fucking problem? Should America also in invade Scotland? I hear lots of terrible atroicities here evey day. Murders, rapes, child abuse, domestic abuse, drug abuse, animal abuse, police abuse, robberies, old women being attacked and beaten half to death by intruders in the middle of day looking to steal some money to buy drugs and have a bit of fun on the way.

Ok, Mr. Reality. What war was the US in between Vietnam (1975) and our attack on Grenada (1983). |

I don't have any, largely because of your government. Your government, and my government who have followed your government's bullshit example, have deprived me of the right to use a natural plant, neither recreationally, medicinally or spiritually. Your government and mine are responsible for as many if not more atrocities than the supposed 'axis of evil' or Al Qaeda, who don't really actually exist. Your country and mine have sold weapons to tyranical regimes time and again, and then went in and fought those regimes. It's the same cycle of shit over and over again that never ends, and you can nitpick all you fucking like but that's the truth of the matter and Obama is no different to any other president you have had in my lifetime. |

If beef or beer was illegal where I live I would be pissed too. The laws against the growing and selling of weed make it deadly, and all the more lucrative. |

Yeah right, all these people who look down their noses and complain about cannabis users, it would be funny to see their reaction if they were denied something that brings happiness into their lives. They'd soon start complaining. people often say to me- is that all you care about? And of course the answer is no, but when you are denied something you enjoy, something that helps you in day to day life, by a bunch of warmongering psychopaths it tends to become a constant noyance. I bet Mitt Romney enjoys a cigar from time to time. Imagine if cigars were banned, would he still smoke them illegally if he could?
I'd not only like to have a nice bit of green to smoke when I felt like it, but I'd like to try all the different strains and get into a bit of growing. Of course doing that could mean that I go to prison.
It wont matter who gets in in 2012, but I'd probably still rather it was Obama than that cunt Mitt Romney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNv7lY-ZhKA
If you vote in the American election 2012 for either Obama or Romney you are not voting for democracy. |

Nice one bubba. haven't heard that one for a long time. That's pretty much my life, skateboarding down a lonely parking lot, trying to score weed off some niggers on the way down. |

I ate with some friend of mine in Nijmegen in Holland first night of Ramadan in 2007. I had already eaten that day but they were muslims, Iraqi refugees fleeing the war. They cooked some food and we ate together, and I ate a share of their food that I thought at the time maybe they might need more than me, given that they hadn't eaten all day and I had. Nevertheless they offered me an equal share and we ate together, and then we smoked a shisha pipe together. They told me that they didn't want America's help and were quite happy living they way they were, at least there was stability with Saddam. That is just how it works they told me, and I agreed with them somewhat although I do feel it could be better for the people in the middle east. I don't think that steaming in with military combat uniforms ordering democratic change is really the way forward. I'm all in favour of peacefully talking to other countries to address their issues, but only talking. We bomb tyrants that get in the way of our global economy, and then roll out the red carpet for the leader of China.

The day President Obama was sworn in I was relieved in a way. I started to make a change in my own life. Baby steps at first, like getting out of bed. Eventually I began to work towards a new career and I am not looking back. I wish anybody out there who is experiencing personal lows in life a better tomorrow/tonight. |

Nice one. Remember this next time you adorn an item of clothing stitched by a Chinese labourer. I'm sure we did a great job in Iraq and all the people who live there are thankful, the ones who still have family members and haven't fled to Syria.
Ask yourself why things are so bad in the middle east?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXPrfnU3G0
In 2003 I protested against this war, the last time I ever did. Some guy was arrested for burning an american flag saying 'fuck bush' and I marched down to the police station in Edinburgh with everyone screaming anti-war slogans. we gathered outside for a while and then left eventually. While I was there someone gave a speech, and a policewoman in the line surrounding us I saw her clapping to what he said.
Only idiots supported this bullshit before it happened, and after, even more stupid. |

Really? you are actually asking for me to be banned from the forum for expressing my views.
I can't express my views about your government, who are occupying my country, controlling my government, killing and torturing people across the middle east for their cause, whatever it is, mostly because they have the greater military might and can throw their weight about a bit, I can't use harmless words to express my opinion yet the government you support can murder children in cold blood and you still support their system.
You go vote and feel good about it. You are a fucking scumbag if you support either Obama or Romney. I'm prepared to overlook that, but since you are not prepared to agree to differ with me and not let this descend into a slanging match then you can go fuck yourself, and anyone who disagree with me on that point can too.

From @TheRealRoseanne on twitter a minute ago
'remember when repubs used to call everyone unamerican 4 criticizing Bush during a war? LOL-now they freely attack their commander in chief'
My government is not going to be complicit in war crimes in my lifetime without me raising my voice about it. Iraq, Vietnam and all the countries the Uk and US have fucked up with their emperialism will not be forgotten. Both governments should be apologising for their actions and the leaders should be arrested and detained in the Hague and charged with genocide. |

Bully for you. Do you call for everyone who disagrees with your politics to be censored then? I suppose you are in favour of the deportation and subsequent incarceration/torture of Julian Assange for revealing the truth about your government as well.

More lies from the BBC - 'Despite the president not answering questions about drug legalisation and other controversial subjects, the response by Redditors to his appearance was largely positive.'
In other words all the people asking why he was continuing his hypocritical war on marijuana dispensaries were completely ignored by the president and 'generally' not counted in the overall response to his answers.

This is why I never vote. No-one ever wants to discuss real issues, or admit that the current system isn't working. We are all supposed to have our opinion and keep it to ourselves, listen to the bullshit spouted by the politicians and make our own choice, and we are not supposed to tell anyone who we voted for. Now how in the hell does that represent a democracy? |

Grow up? You need to seriously wake up and open your eyes. It's you and Trob who are acting like children. First I'm not entitled to an opinion because I'm not a US citizen, then I'm stupid and immature and should be banned for speaking my mind. Surprised at the behaviour of Trob really, but not you if I'm honest. You've always been a self righteous, opinionated twerp.
I'm out. I don't see any point in discussing this further with you. You have made up your mind and damn the rest of the world for trying to get in the way of America's ongoing emperialist crusade. |
