Whatever I do I'll let you know how it turns out. I might do the 6 day thing. It does seem quite long, but I guess if there's a positive reaction after almost a week then that's a good sign. If not, fuck it, I can just blame floop...

floop, the 6 day thing worked...sort of. I messaged her and she said she would be at the same pub where we met last week. So I went and she was awesome as I initially thought...BUT she's moving to London next month, which sucks.
So the 6 day thing = not bad advice. Other circumstances = sucky.

congrats
her moving in a month now changes the dating protocol by the way
instead if sleeping together on 3rd date you could make move on 2nd or even 1st date, due to the accelerated dating schedule
if you guys really hit it off who knows.. maybe you could move to London? it do long distance thing?
feel free to ask me any questions if you get in a bind mid date. I'll try to check this thread often

floop, I just got back from a 'date' but kind of not a date, just casual 'drinks' with the awesome girl. I've got so much of a crush it's unreal. She's interesting, funny, beautiful...all the things anyone wants in a partner. I even managed to close the night with a kiss! I felt like a king! She's still moving away but it turns out it could only be for 6 or so months. This could be someone I definitely persue.

No, unfortunately. If I was drunk I probably wouldn't be thinking about these things. |

A Canadian guy on a motorbike with a little metal case trailing behind with the Canadian flag on it asked me for directions today. I just thought I'd mention that. |

it's baby skunk season again. i find it interesting how young skunks are when they set out on their own, into the big bad world.
it takes humans 18 years (or more) to leave the nest. skunks, as soon as they can walk it seems, venture out (despite dangers like cars, dogs, coyotes, humans etc...). it's kind of rad

Skunks. Two weeks ago my wife counted five young ones doing some kinda of dance, chase and grab ass thing. We have a floodlight in the backyard wich makes it easier to see the nocturnal goings on.

Tro, thanks for your support and interest in the match, it means a lot!

A very belated congratulations, but more importantly - how the hell did this photo come about?
Thanks for sticking one to City. |

Oh I got so many pictures with the cup, it's once in a lifetime stuff for me! Being a kit man for the team I support just happened to pay off that day...the other 99% of times are bullshit and disappointment, same as lots of jobs! Shame I couldn't get a picture with the Community Shield, bloody Man Utd...
Thanks for the congrats.

I never knew you were a kit man. I didn't even know that clubs had more than one. On TV they always talk about THE kit man.
What does your job entail exactly, how did you get it and what makes it so shitty?

Yeah probably traditionally clubs would just have one kit man but recently, especially at a high level it's necessary to have more than one. My official title is Assistant Kit Manager, there are three kit men in total. There is always something to do, a big part of it is mundane stuff like washing kit after training, which takes a few hours on a good day. Then there's printing the kits up for each match with the correct sleeve badges (Football League, Europa League etc...), names and numbers. That can be time consuming too. So when players swap shirts at the end of a match...yep, more work for me! Most important thing: DO NOT FORGET ANYTHING FOR A MATCH DAY! Boots, shinpads... they're a superstitious lot, footballers!
It doesn't really sound like a lot of work until you do it. I wasn't trying to say it's a shitty job by the way, just that there's a lot of shitty stuff to do at times. And of course it's not every season we lift a trophy, that would make it better!
