Am I the only one who absolutely loves this new live EP? I think it's the most exciting new recording I've heard from our buddy in years!
There is some serious passion and excitement on display here from everybody. My favourite is how they rip through "Black Rider". Frank belts it out and screams and hollers and generally has a really fun time.
The band sound like they're having fun too, and they sound a bit sloppy, which I mean as a total compliment. I haven't liked how clean and precise everything has been sounding on his albums recently.
I think I'm the only person on here not to have heard "Bluefinger" yet, except for "Threshold Apprehension". On the evidence of this EP, I am seriously pumped to hear Charles excited about making music again. I love it! |

There's a thread for this in the live section -- http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18586 -- but it does make more sense to have discussion of this EP in this section.
There's a perfect explanation for the shit that I've been in. As soon as I find out, I'll let you know. |

I'm still not a big fan of "Re-Make/Re-Model," but I love the rest. The two non-covers are especially great. I like that "Manitoba" than any other version I've heard.
Anybody else notice the tracks seem to be out of order? "Massif Central" is announced at the end of "Manitoba," but it actually precedes it. I'd be curious what the actual order was. Ding?

Pity this is on iTunes because I'll probably never get to hear it.

I noticed that too. I'm wondering if it's a mistake or not and whether to re-arrange the tracks to fit in with that.
