Having spent the day doing absolutely nothing has got me thinking, sometimes, no matter how much money you spend or how far you travel, you just cant beat those little things that really brighten up your day. I have decided that the simple pleasures in life are the best, those that take little time or money but really put a smile on your face. For example: A nice cold beer A smoke Fish and Chips A frank album Sunshine

Still, it's true though.

One of my favourite things is when I wake up at about 9am on a weekend and then think "What the hell", go back to sleep and then not wake up until around noon.

Or, if I do wake up on a Saturday morning, to go to the market and get some fresh bread, decent meat and some kooky vegetables.

Did you guys not have those in the US?? Blizzards are integral to any summer and particularly serve as a good way to kick off a road trip to the lake or wherever on a hot day.

DQ and Blizzards have been around for as long as I can remember.
(At least in the southern US.)

Late summer afternoons I enjoy watching birds visiting my feeders.
One of my cardinals is bald, though.

I like it when you wake up and just think to yourself, you know what, fuck College. Also being offered a cup of tea out of the blue brightens up my day.

Sitting on the grass on a early summer day, smoking a menthol superking cigarette (from a brand new pack so they're minty as poss) and drinking cherry Coke from a bottle when the sun is starting to go down and there's a slight breeze. This is probably me at my my happiest, although possibly down to the caffeine, sugar, nicotine and vitamin D power-up.
I also like waking up early when I don't have to be up for hours, I just pull my headphones back on (I sleep with em on and normally randomly wake up and take em off) and listen to some more of the hours and hours worth of comedy or classical music that I listened to when going to bed and gradually nod off. Awesome.

Waking up on a week day is the Summer and remembering I don't have to go to school. Yeah.

The moment in the movie theater, right before the feature, when the lights first dim.
The zig-zag on Charlie Brown's shirt has always made me smile.

I have found tits to be a quite complicated pleasure. Probably because I feel it necessary to set them free from their pink sweater prison.

Is there a woman attached to these tits? Or are they just disembodied tits in a pink sweater?

Lately, my biggest pleasure has been waking up early on days when I'm having a tough time sleeping, taking a hot shower, then going back to sleep, then waking up around one or so.

Home from work, in the underwear, one leg over the armrest, huge mug of ice water, with the old Universal Pictures globe spinning on the tube (the one used as inspiration for Bossanova?).
From pitch black to mountain sunrise in the backyard with my cat on my lap.
Cool sheets in a cool bed on a warm night.
Skipping the commercials with the DVR.
Making orbital boob vacuums.

I have so many, I try to be as simple as possible...;)
Gardening, BBQing, picking stuff from my garden and bbqing it, clean linen, watching the kids' soccer games, a good cup of coffee, a good cup of coffee before anyone gets up at the lake enjoyed at the end of the dock at sunrise, the sound of rain at night as I fall asleep and much much more.

I've often thought you were terribly sensible.
There are few things in this life as great as a good coffee.
