i really must second the request for a lossless version of the video to be uploaded to dime or somesuch...... i would be truly awesome to have a video record of this show....
i certainly would offer to make it into a dvd-compatible file with menu's etc from the mpg that mixedbizz makes...or if he can do it too, that'd be great, and then we'd get jedi to make some artwork and it's be top notch!
all i can say, thank god for polio! brian |

Hey Coasty, where are you located that makes Omaha accessible? I used to live in Nebraska.

I'm in Denver, Edbanky. I would have been there in SLC with you, but the show was midweek and I couldn't miss that much work for a show. As it is, I'm missing next Monday, since I'll be driving back from Omaha that day. For me, the end of miles is Denver, Colorado. And when I pull in to Cheyenne, I'll surely put on the song Fast Man. (I bet when Frank wrote all these songs about driving to places, he never considered it being in a minivan. Ah, the life of a family man.)

oh and by the way, I was unfamiliar with "Maybe I'll Kick It" and "The rabbit song" until this show. How awesome are those songs? Very very. |

"Maybe i'll kick it" has been christened "Dead man's Curve" by fans, so if you see it on setlists, that's what it is.

Oh, nice. It's such a good song. The melody of the Rabbit Song is stuck in my head as well. The part of the show where he fucks up "I'll be blue" is hilarious. Also when you watch the show again, you begin to understand why the song order is the way it is. It is mostly a matter of smooth key changes. For example "The Swimmer" is in the key of D#maj. That songs ends on D#maj as well, which is the opening chord in "Headache" before he goes down to Bmaj fot "This wrinkle in time...". It's quite interesting to watch. |

Actually, part of the Swimmer is in G#maj but it ends up in the key of D#maj. Sorry for the error. |

I think Frank himself christened it "Dead Man's Curve" at one of the Cafe du Nord shows in March.

It's a good name nonetheless. I can relate, too. I've gotten about 4 tickets in the last month and they mean nothing to me.
The footage or at least song clips should be up tonite. I'll keep you posted.

I really don't know shit about videos. All I mean is something that can be put on a DVD without getting all pixelated, and with uncompressed audio. That would make me a truly happy man.

what are the specs of the video. cause i'd love to be able to upload the entire gig as a dvd to dimeadozen or somesuch, but that'll depend on what the format and bitrates etc are for the video files. i'd love to see LPCM audio and video bitrates of something pretty recent - like 6-7000kb/s and 720x576 aspect ratio.
but i don't really know much about video, but the above would be killer.
all i can say, thank god for polio! brian |

just wanted to send a BIG thanks to stephan and greg for taking the time to put this up for everyone. what a GREAT show. i was at the 1st one. unfortunately i was next to some loud screaming idiot. when frank was talking i missed most of what he said. this clip solves that problem. FB is by far the best performer to see live. ive seen him everytime hes been in or near new york since the pixies days. i never heard dead mans curve or all around the world. great songs especially live. are these songs available anywhere??? if not atleast i have them on this clip for now
thanks again. this site rules. a wealth of info. Great job by everyone involved in putting it together |

Stephan was kind enough to post this is two places, and it deserves thanks in both places. This is a fantastic recording. Thanks to Greg for getting it. Frank really warmed up right around mid-show (for me, it happened somewhere between Another Velvet Nightmare and Cactus), and this recording delivers it. At first, I wasn't thrilled about the strange angle and the bad lighting, but as with any good bootleg, you grow to love the ambience that you can only get from a homemade recording. This is a serious gem. Now I can't wait to break it up into songs and get it on my iPod (I don't have the video kind) so I can listen to it as I drive to Omaha tomorrow. Woohooooooooooooo!!!!
