Maybe he could back "Day My Baby Gave Me A Surprise" with "Girlfriend In A Coma"

-

I'd like to hear Frank cover a Material Issue tune. "Valerie Loves Me" would be nice. He could Honeycomb it.

When he hosted MTV's 120 Minutes around 1994, he picked the video for Morrissey's Everyday Is Like Sunday.

When I saw them (twice) last year, the only "cover" they did was their version of The Rolling Stones' "Satisfaction."

Here's what they played (from my sketchy memory): Uncontrollable Urge, Satisfaction, Mongoloid, Jocko Homo, Come Back Jonee, Wiggly World, Blockhead, Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA, Girl U Want, Whip It, Freedom of Choice, Gates of Steel, Going Under...

Probably something else but I think that covers it.

I bought the soundtrack to Casino last week, with that on it. I'll have to bring it back, though, the second disc is missing!

I have a collection called "Goodbye Babylon" There is a song called, "I belong to the band" The way it is written it could interpreted it many ways. I think his voice would be lovely singing it.

"Okay, I'll give you a choice. You can either give me the missing second CD of
my Casino 2CD soundtrack, which contains Devo's cover of The Rolling Stone's
(I Can't Get No) Satifaction, or have your hand bashed in with a hammer. I've
got the receipt and everything!!"

Devo's "Mongoloid" or perhaps "Big Mess". Either would be nice.

An Echo and the Bunnymen tune, but in my perfect world: Joy Division Oven Gloves by Half Man Half Biscuit. A song by one of my favourite bands, about one of my favourite bands, covered by my favourite artist.

A little bit of fire never hurt anyone.

There's a song on the Casino soundtrack (yeah, I keep mentioning that), another one I liked but didn't know the name of until I listened to the soundtrack, called Love is Strange, by Mickey And Sylvia (I'm sure they inspired Mitch And Mickey from A Mighty Wind!!), I was thinking a Kim and Joey cover would be cool, the female vocals sound a bit Kimish, and there's a cool, stinging guitar part!!

Strangely, a few weeks ago I was thinking of a song and what it would sound like with FB singing it, Jethro Tull's The Teacher. I think it would be pretty cool, although I keep hearing Hot Blooded's guitar refrain in there??

With Frank's current style, I bet he could do a real interesting version of the old Clarence Carter tune 'Patches'.

oh god I could not bare a floyd cover, and theres already enough zeppelin covers going around...

whoever said Dont Cry No Tears is dead on, that would be great. With a Honeycomb feel I think it would be MUCH better than the 2 NY covers on the Pix B sides album.

As far as Zevon goes, I think The French Inhaler would be badass. Mybe get some pedal steel in there...

Carry On - CSNY

I was listening to Winterlong yesterday and loving it
then
this song came on next and I could just imagine the Pixies doing it.

Anyway, it is a cool song.
