i was just wondering don't ask me why, what the average age of a frank black fan may be, i have noticed latley a lot of younger people are fans of the pixies so i know pixies fans may be a little younger i will admit my age is 44, if anyone has any guess, i would appreciate it |

My average age is 35.
There's a perfect explanation for the shit that I've been in. As soon as I find out, I'll let you know. |

I will admit my age is 44, too, and that several threads like this one exist on this board. The 06 reunion shows had plenty of teens (and sometimes old farts my age with kids), whereas Catholics gigs tended to draw more of a concert crowd.
I got some heaven in my head

Mostly oldies around here... We should find a way to catch younger fans.
... maybe they have better things to do actually...
I'm 22 for 5 years now.

I'm a young'n. 21 here, and while I was tipped off about FB because of the Pixies, I wouldn't say that I'm a "Pixies fan"...More of an FB fan, and the Pixies just happen to be one of the projects he has worked on. I actually discovered FB/Pixies through Fight Club (Where Is My Mind plays at the end) way back in 99/00, so I guess I've been a fan for around 7 years or so now. Since I was 14, I guess. Wow...Time flies. |

I'll be 31 in October. I've been a fan for 12 years.
I'm a 'Spin Alternative Record Guide' Pixies fan. I'd also rather listen to the solo and Catholics stuff today. The only Pixies thing I still own is Surfer Rosa (vinyl reissue), while I still have and frequently play all of Frank's post-Pixies records. |

27. heard the Pixies when i was 13, music has never been the same since. Without sounding like the dudes off high fidelity, hearing the Pixies allowed me to skip alot of the less relevant musical stepping stones and go straight to Thompson, Lennon, McArtney, Wilson, Bowie, Richards and Jagger, Townsend, Davies.
Thanks Frank |

This is something that I like about Frank, he covers several generations of music listeners. So far the range is from 18 to 44. |

I'm 31. When I was 17 I got the Breeder's "Last Splash" and read in Spin that she used to be in the Pixies- I picked up the Doolittle tape and fell in love on the drive home. That was Valentine's Day, 1994.
