I'm interested, too. If there aren't any left, I'm hoping the copies will be shared through dime or zomb.

Sorry, Benji. I'm only at dimeAdozen and purelivegigs, plus this thing isn't the quickest.
Many thanks for the disc, too. |

fbc, purelivegigs is fine. just can't do it at dime as it'll get banned immediately. but if you don't mind being an upload-buddy, any speed will be good. mine max's out at 14kb/s so a 4GB dvd'll take forever.
and tisasawath - you're in.

That's quite impressive! Mine's about 19 kb/s, so of not much help. What is "zomb" if I may ask? Dimeadozen without the strict standarts? |

Hm, the uploading rules on zomb seem to be quite strict, too. Why do you think you can upload the show on zomb if it would be banned on dime immediately? And why the ban on dime? |

mainly cause an inferior NTSC version of the same show was uploaded on zomb a month or so ago, and has not been banned yet, but the audio of the show was uoploaded to dime and banned. probly zomb just don't know about the official content.

I'm seeding one at the moment after the download completed and it sticks around 11kbps. If this small upload rate will help in anyway I'll be more than happy to help out. |

I'm not at home right now, but if you guys still need someone to help seeding about the middle of next week, I could throw in my 19 kb/s. |

just to let you know, i'm not a wizz at this stuff so it's got a simple menu, but then again it's not about the fucking menu is it!

so glad you like it... and yes, tame is the highlight of the show for me. you get the idea of the power of the song in the b-side release, but seeing it with the video just blows me away. i do wish that the credits didn't roll over the end, but nevermind. my favourite moment of the gig is dave's standup huge pound on the skins just before the end - you can hear it on the b-side and i always wondered what the fuck was going on, and just pissed myself when i saw what he was doing...brilliant!
i uploaded 3 songs to youtube too for those interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oncqJb-nzFI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E18beaR-odI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcn0f5s-aas

Hey Benji, Got the DVD yesterday and managed to watch most of it inbetween the footy. Brilliant. Haven't managed to spot myself yet though!! Some of the shots of Bob Santiago made me laugh - he looks petrified!! Nice one - you are a star!

hey, that was quick. i'm, sure you'll catch yourself in the crowd eventually. just wait til Tame - lots crowd shots then..... but bob was pretty young on this tour - he turned 21 while touring apparently - i know i would have been pretrified too!
am actually quite impressed by australia post this time....
ps. others who get the package - please post here as i'm on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow so won't be checking my mail much, if at all....will be drinking too much wine!!!!!!!

Yeah, I got mine this morning too, watched it this arvo. It took me back to the time I first heard the Pixies, that shiver up the spine because I'd finally found the sound I never knew I was looking for. The moment when I was on my own but felt compelled to declare to the world, "F*ck me, this is unbelievable!" to save me from drowning in awe.
Basically Benji, you've made me one happy prick and I can't thank you enough.
(I've never created a torrent before, but I'm doing my research. I'll let you know here when it's ready. I promise it will be real soon) |

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! thanks Benji - it's fab. I still have to watch it in detail, but I had it on while making dinner tonight. I hadn't realised that this is the gig that the alec eiffel b-sides came from. Seeing Frank screaming during Tame just made my decade. Thanks again. Seeing you're on holiday, I'll delay sending the chocolate fish until early July. Chocolate fish? You may well ask...

Just received this too. Fantastic stuff, they really should think about releasing this. The editing is so superior to the Euro festival release.
Thanks a bunch for doing this! |

So who pinched the lyrics to the 'Bone Machine' verses?

I was wondering about that.
A couple of geeky questions. Anyone know if that's the actual order of the setlist? There seem to be some pretty quick changes going on! And are the playing some of the songs half a step up; when Charles has the Gibson and Kim has the Steinberger bass?
Most excellent DVD, it's great of Benji to treat us so. |

Thank you, Benji, and thank you again. It was delivered on friday, two discs, the dvd and the torrent dvd. The quality is considerably better compared to the ntsc version that was shared earlier. It seems there is some grain and some jaggedness in the earlier version. Not that I dislike grain as a visual effect in a music video but one can always add that later. The sound volume is enhanced in the earlier one, otherwise I can't tell the difference in the sound quality through my cheapo headphones, but if visual difference is due to the quality and preservation of the original video tape, it should mean the same for sound quality. awaiting seeding instructions.. ok, back to your vacation, have a nice one

I'm pretty sure Chucky just forgot the lyrics, he has a very uncomfortable expression on his face during the verse, like "fuck fuck fuck fuck"..

Just watched it again tonight. Bob Santiago looks like he's absolutely loving it but still shit-scared at the same time hehe. Thanks again Benji. By the way Planet Of Sound has never been one of my favourites for some reason, but after seeing it on this gig thats all changed. Frank goes fucking berserk!!
Its been one of my favourite bootlegs on cd for years and years, theres a few moments where i wondered hmm what are they doing there? Like the botched intro to Roswell...well it turns out Frank is still tuning his guitar when dave starts off!
A few other observations:
* The close-ups of Frank on Subbacultcha are pure evil. * The Holiday Song segue into Break My Body....its like they were written together * Kim's bass without a head freaks me out * On my original bootleg that a mate burned for me he left off Tame cos it wouldnt fit....now I want to kill him...has there ever been a better closer? * The slow zoom-out of the whole band during the instrumental part of Into the White is pure magic

if you listen to pretty much any live recordings of bone machine after surfer rosa was released, the song is sung with the verses all screwy. don't ask me why, but thats the way he sung it.
