I haven't given up yet, but I fear you may be right. Will still be there cheering/crossing my fingers on Wed. I can't believe that was all it took for Roloson to be out. Hopefully Conklin plays better when he doesn't come into the game third period and cold.
It wouldn't be _as_ big a deal, but Edmonton's defence, particularly last night, was pretty much one man in net. They're going to have to play stronger as a team to win this, they can't rely on their goalie now.

Meh, the only thing more distressing than watching a 5-0 whalloping on TV would be to see it in person.
OK, OK, so I just said that 'cause I'm jealous. We tried to get tickets but no dice. :( Edmonton will strike back at home. The series will be tied at 2-games a piece and it will all come down to their return to Carolina and whether they can take momentum with them. Of course, if Edmonton loses tonight, there is no hope.
Unfortunately, I will be golfing in our company's tournament unless the rain persists. Hopefully I can make it back into town for the second period. And hopefully the tourney is either called on rain or else the rain dries up before tomorrow.

Yeah, what an exciting game to have been at, hope you enjoyed it! Quite looking forward to Monday and I hope that they are able to follow up on it.

Holy smokes, I can't remember when I had so much fun.
There is absolutely no comparison between a regular season game and a playoff game. Insane! And we had the boss's seats...and what an intense game. Thank god Jussi played well.
The only way it could've been better is if I won the 50/50.

Actually they fired the cop that was in charge of Whyte Ave and the new guy has brought out the riot squad. They went from making 30 arrests during the last game of the the Oil and Sharks, to making 205 arrest on Saturday.

That's good, sort of. It's embarassing that any arrests need to be made. It's funny that I'd be more impressed if the numbers went the opposite direction, from 205 to 30. People need to grow up and realize that a game is, even at these stakes, still just a game, and is not justification for violence or destruction. Of course, if you talked to a lot of these people about the Muhammed cartoons, they would be outraged at the uproar from a cartoon. Seems like a parallel to me, but then, what do I know?
Maybe sports are the new religion. Pray for a victory tonight.

I actually wrote a letter to the newspaper about all the pics they've been showing of slutty girls stripping down and showing their tits on whyte. It got in the editorial section. Geez ladies, grab some self-respect, this ain't freaking mardi gras!

I hear what you're saying, but I'm guilty of granting them said attention, or at least I would be if I ever happened to be in the same place where someone were to do show off the goods. It turns out that I frequently tend to miss such things, however. I'm not saying I'd date or respect them, but it's fun to watch. I would think.

Its grosser than that though.
One pic showed a girl on someone's shoulders with her top pulled up.
All you could see were about a dozen different hands trying to cop a feel and another dozen or so hands taking pics with their cellphones.
