go anaheim go. woo hoo. <sob> the playoffs suck without the nucks. i will be rooting for buffalo. however, anaheim are playing a great team game.

Boo urns. No Canadian would cheer for Anaheim. Admittedly, Calgary played like they'd been payed to take a dive and Anaheim deserved to win, but still. The following teams should not exist:
1) Anaheim
2) San Jose
3) Dallas
4) Tampa Bay
I'm sorry, if you don't have snow, you don't have hockey. Period.
I don't generally cheer for Montreal, but being knocked out by a slapshot from the line that deflected off a defenceman's stick and hit the upper-right corner hurt me.

Yeah that's right Kathryn, they play fottball/soccer at the Winter Olympics.
The players have enough trouble staying on their feet nowadays as it is.

Ahhhrriiiighhtttt! We have snow here in Dallas! That's what that 1/2 inch of white slushy stuff is every other year, right? It never stays around too long since the next day it's 60 degrees.
But anyway, all you hockey stalwarts, do you have any problems with the frustrating nature of the luck of the bounce and the off the skate goals and such? Drives me crazy lately when one team looks like the better team but doesn't get the bounce. I guess you make your own luck, but still it seems so random sometimes.

Really? Snow in Dallas? Crazy. I kind of was referring to permanent stuff and not freak weather, but I'll allow you to keep your team for now. I guess. :)
Sometimes it's a little maddening, especially when the game hinges on a goal deflected in, but I've never really felt that the bounce ever aligned itself with one team or another generally, just a few moments of bad/good luck. I suppose most sports have some sort of equivalent issue...

Yup, the question is can they take out Anaheim. That is, assuming the Sharks don't bite back. That was a whallop of a third period. And Game Four was pretty exciting too. The goal where whoever it was was coming out of the penalty box was such a godsend.

Oh, I bet. It was pretty crazy round these here parts, even. Can't wait for the conf. finals, and am really hoping to see them get as far as Calgary did... and then one step further.

JETS IN 4!! nice to see the oilers doing so well. the city must be insane. lots of winnipegers are chearing them on. but some are still bitter over all those playoff series the jets ended up losing to against the oilers. those are painful memories.

Heh, I'm sure, though not as painful as losing your team. At least we don't feel like the only province without a team this way.
I hate how they're calling it the Blue Mile. Give me a break. It's Whyte Ave and your team's colours are Blue and White. And changing the colour from red to blue is the best you can do?!? They're better off calling it Whyte Ave.

Yeah, it's going to be nuts there, I'd be out on Whyte Ave every night if I lived there. It's even cool here, people are pretty pumped for this (myself included).

Actually I avoid whyte like the plague.
Its nothing but about 30,000 person drunkfest melee with cops on defcon 5 etc.
I'd rather go to Jasper Ave like we did with the 80s dreamteam.
