I gotta have some concealer, I'm really very pale, dark circles under the eyes.
Hehe, and I'm skinny, I got that heroin chic thing down without the heroin...

I never use make up, never did. Just a little eyeliner, but not always.

I'm not that crazy about make up either. I like the idea of eyeliner, but I'm too lazy to use it myself. Other stuff like lipstick and such are kind of yuck. Leaves traces on glasses and so on.
I seem to be alone in this, but not quite.. Rita? You understand me, no?

Today I went to the supermarket and bought yogurts for all of us, you will love it.
Maybe someday I will worry about using all those creams for the skin, but I hope it will take a long time untill I do. Also, I have a good skin, maybe because I live in the country, away from pollution and air conditioners.

Did you buy some eyeliner, too, Rita - one for you and one for
ElevatorLady? Seriously, I do not leave the house without that stuff on. Chryssie Hynde taught me right!

Daisy, where was the guy's bruise? Did you ever meet Bobbi herself?

*Total girl moment*

so today I went shopping on a little student sized splurge I bought body butter - olive (I can't use cocoa butter and the fruity ones are a bit much, I like the olive).

Unrelated, same splurge, I bought a pair of chocolate brown heavy linen combats and an ankle bracelet with bells on. Looking for a new nail varnish but the store shut at 9pm so I had to go home.
booo.

I hope that I will live to see you undress

Oh K I know! I literally legged it up the stairs covered my self head to toe in this beautiful fresh scented butter and threw on my new (bought yesterday) blue PJ trousers and cotton T shirt!

gone and gone to girly heaven!

also had to put anklet on straight away, wiggling my leg about to hear the bells go jingle jangle

technically this will irritate the fuck out of my skin but jungle jangle! I got it from accessorize (my god how the fuck is that spelt, where's the bag?...) and usually they're pretty nickel free so I'm good to go I hope. Even if not jingle jangle!

OK I do have to take it off now, sitting cross legged and it's got pointy digging in bits

Yes - details please. I've never ever done the spa day thing and am a facial virgin. Feel like I'm letting the side down.

WHAT!???!?!?

Surfer, you would ADORE the spa day thing. It is as addictive as it is necessary.
Now go find yourself a good facialist and make AT LEAST monthly
appointments. Your skin will thank you, plus it's the ultimate in girlie
pampering.

I know I would - and that's why I've not done it yet as I fear it would be a rather expensive and addictive habit.

My sister is a beauty therapist - but stuck in the wrong country for me to be able to take advantage of her skills. My holiday at the end of the year will be cash in time.

Good for your sister!

But, Nic, I am worried about you. While I laud this show of restraint,
it is imperative that you make the spa day one of your controllable
habits!

Well I started off with an hour massage which was soo sooooo good. My hips have been bugging me with this extra weight so all the knots and tension was worked out.
Then I went on to a sea salt exfoliating body scrub and then some sort of oil body wrap and I am soft as a baby's butt I tell ya. And then the facial. Which the last and only time I got one must've been a cheap one because she didn't do the "extraction" part of it. Um, ouch! When she put the mask part on I fell asleep for a few minutes. I could have gotten a couple other things but I wanted to save enough leftovers on my coupon to go back for another massage.

Cheesey, you know I love you but you need to mosey on out of this thread. We, fb.net ladies, need a place where we can unwind and be
ourselves without worrying that you boys are gonna raunchy-fy things.
Thank you and have fun in the Men's Locker Room thread.

Carolynanna, your spa day sounds wonderful, and well deserved!

I have had massages, and manicures (Just twice. I do too much yard work, and so it only pays to it if I have a special event to go to). I have never done the full meal deal spa trip though. After hearing about how wonderful it is....I am thinking I really need to make it a gift to myself in the near future.

One thing I do swear by for all the light hair and skin types is to get your eyelashes dyed. I am getting mine done next week. It is perfect for the summer when you are swimming, or camping, or taking a road trip. Mascara makes a BIG difference for me, and so when my lashes are dyed I don't need to worry about hardly anything else but maybe lipstick if I am on the go. It really is a great time saver.

It was kind of weird when she was rubbing down my belly with the sea salt.
Jonas decided to start kicking like a mofo!

I don't know if I'd buy it for myself but Mike knows its a good bday/anniversary gift.

Waxing is worth paying the money for - there is no way in hell you want a slow handed novice - you want lightening fast speed. I can wax my own legs but I'm not good enough to deal with anything else myself. Hair removal creams work pretty well since you don't have the discomfort of shaving - in my opinion (or the nicking yourself factor - never done that myself thankyou but one of my bosses was recently entertaining me with tales of cutting his scrotum while shaving). The only other problem with waxing is that you then have to wait an age till you can go again.

i always went once a month, usually a day or two after my period stopped. i went to the legit brazillian ladies down in miami, they'll treat you right. very....thorough. got it waxed in the shape of a heart and dyed red for valentine's day once, that was rather tedious. nowadays i'm just too damn lazy. if you have good enough friends they'll do it for free.
