I might also invite Ian Curtis and make sure he sat between Rita and me.

He can sit right between us, Rita, and we'll talk to him and listen to him and it will be wonderful. Not that we would ignore Joe. We'd make sure Joe ate some heart-healthy food.
This is making me sad. I'm gonna go blast some Mescaleros.

Ben Franklin is a good choice, Broken Face.
I would say Isaac Newton for I praise his genius, his modesty, and his dilligence very highly.
BUT On second thought, I would bring Bartolome de Las Casas, give him a big hug, and say "You tried, and you're a great man at heart. I really appreciate that".
BUT On third thought, I would bring Bernard Malamud, and I would converse with him about The Prison. |

Bill Hicks or Beck. I think it´d be fun to watch Rabelais eat too.

Beck. Still alive. Doesn't count. Or, jeez, did he die and I don't know about it because I live under a rock? Now I'm nervous. Did Beck die?

I read an interview with him and Michael Gondry and he seemed to be very not dead.
P.S. Found a real mailbox today near my house.

Noone has any deceased loved ones they'd like to take to dinner? They don't have to be famous right?

Good point, Carolyn. I tried to address that by saying "which dead person from history." So unless your grandma was Mae West....
