"Lack of sports skills," Brian? Lack of sports skills?
I am deeply offended and I hereby challenge you to a game of pond hockey.
Lack of sports skills. Phhh!

Hm. OK. No hockey. No basketball either, seeing you're a foot and a half taller than me.
Also, Brian, it's spelled skillz.

Don't listen to her, Brian, she's a fan of that naughty Jimmy Carr, whoever he is.
Did you say "foosball," my friend?
I know this great place near my house, where they serve decent, cheap food and alkiholl. Meet you tonight at 5:30?
(Actually, I'm 4 foot even.)

"...you're a foot and a half taller than me."
"...you're four foot five?"
um. You guys know something I don't, don't you?
Pixieseteve, you should feel honored.
Personally I think the forum needs more flaming. Or something.
Oh well.
Whatever.
Nevermind.
So, needless to say, if you were waiting around with five bucks in your hand waiting to buy my upcoming brochure Understanding Poop, you can put that five bucks away, 'cause it ain't happenin.

Kathryn, are you seriously 4'? That's way too weird. I know three Kathryns (two plus you), all of them about that height. One of them is a cute hostess. Whom I called 'dirty' yesterday and received a horrified look of shock followed by various attempts at towel whipping.
It was a good day.

Dean, you bring up such a good point. The internet is such a great place, where like-minded souls can gather from near and far... just look out at our humble forum. That said, the internet has its limits. This is something we must admit. For example, it is hard to discern sarcasm or know whether someone who claims to be 4 feet tall is really 5 feet tall or 6 feet tall.
(I am exactly an inch taller than Tre.)

KOK, didn't you just mention porn, too, in another thread. And Jop thinks the forum's boring!

its funny you linked to that mel, as i find that probably the lowest point of my forum enjoyment. that was when i felt it was totally overrun by about 10 people and no one else was ever posting. it was my lowest posting point of my time here. but its great b/c it shows that each of us enjoys the forum for different reasons, and thats part of what makes it interesting

Well, I was likely to be one of those 10 people! which is probably why i liked it. Also in june time last year, i remeber that being good..with all the pixie shows and everything a well.

I remember last summer being a peak forum time.
I think forums go through different periods as particular people pass through. As those people move on and new paople join in the forum does change but i don't think it's a matter of better or worse, just different.
I also think that the forum has always been dominated by a group of 10 or so people. When i first joined in 2002 it was Blackpurse, Ramona and Steak 'n' Sabre. There were lots more that i can't recall at the moment but i think the time you first join is always going to be remembered as better (than now ) because it was new.
Now the forum is new for other people, it's just the natural cycle of things.
Does anyone else miss Mad Dawg? He was such a great guy, and he introduced me to those really cool silver rings. |

I do wonder why so many people leave. Is it boredom, lack of time, or...something more sinister?

With no disrespect intended, was it really? I hear people saying that and I just wonder how or why it came off that way, or if we really are.
