Thanks for the tip Carl, there are few reasons I'll endure a Wesley Snipes vehicle but that certainly is one. |

I watched Buffalo '66 last night. It was alright, would have been signifigantly better if Christina Ricci had fully shown her bodacious bing bongs. I still would've respected her as an actress, really. |

The Brothers Grimm. It's actually quite good. Not a masterpiece but I enjoyed it. |

Saw A History Of Violence tonight. It was a little bit of a let down, but it was interesting. There was'nt really a whole lot to it. I did'nt know it was based on a graphic novel, actually. Not a typical David Cronenberg movie! But then he did do M. Butterfly (which I hav'nt seen). |

Seen this weekend: - John Carpenter's Vampires. I like Carpenter but that one was reeaaaally cheap. It started great but there wasn't much past the motel scene. The girl's miniskirt is criminally underused. - Pump Up The Volume. I had never seen it and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Always nice to hear some Pixies in a movie. Slater is a bad actor but the movie was good. - Brothers Grimm: I thought it was OK but I felt disappointed knowing Gilliam can do much better. The story didn't really go anywhere and the dialog was a bit weak. It was visually great though.

Ce weekend:
A Denys Arcand double feature "Les invasions barbares" and "Le déclin de l'empire américain." Both great, both for the gazillionth time, as is ordained where I live.

Yeah, Vampires really ran out of steam. I thought PUTV was incredibly corny, at least it has Wave (UK Surf) and Sonic Youth's Titanium Expose!! Brothers Grimm is'nt out here 'til Nov 4, I'd like to see it, have heard some negative things about it, though. |

Yeah, the arguing scenes got a little rediculous. I liked the very last scene though where it shows the dog running back into the house. |

I saw the Terry Zwigoff documentary about Robert Crumb, it´s well worth a look. He´s the least strange person in his family.

Oh, I forgot, I also saw a really stupid movie called Night Trap a little while ago. Really cheapo mardi Gras horror starring Michael Ironside!!
Also saw Cannibal Holocaust again, recently. Stomach churning. |

The pad full of doodles by his brother was stunning. Makes me wonder if their problems were inherited or due to their terrible father. |

Men In Black II. Didn't like the first one, but to my great surprise it was quite enjoyable. I usually hate when there's no plot but this movie was funny enough to live without it.

I have to say, I hated it. I liked the first one, this was just pointless and some of the effects were terrible (I'm thinking of the little Johnny Knoxville head). |

I think this show went on a couple seasons too long. The first few were great. |

I liked the first MIB all right, but I thought they could have done more with it, particularly in the satirical vein. I didn't bother seeing MIB 2.

Little from column A B and C I´d say. Crumb looks like he´d be fun to play music with, when we do arrangments of other people´s songs it´s unusual for it to be something post1930.

Obaba. Based on five short stories about people and their life in a little village.
Very nice. Perhaps too slow in some scenes, but I liked it.

Just saw this and liked it, I can´t remember seeing a film with Klaus Maria Brandauer in it before but he was great in it.

i went on ebay and got some ghetto region free dvds of seasons 1-4 for like $30. then ebay kicked the guy off for selling them and refunded my money, but AFTER the guy sent them. so i got 4 seasons for free.
and no, i don't have season 5 yet. if i can get my hands on them, i'll copy them for you.
oh yeah and i just saw AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. quite good. Griffin Dunne is the man.

I saw two films last night. The first was "Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3," which was nowhere near as good as the second one, let alone the first. The other was a documentary called "Hell House," which I'd definitely recommend. I'm sure you're all aware of the houses that fundamentalists create to scare people into converting, but what I found particularly disturbing about this film was how much fun the people had in creating the skits and such. At least one girl was thrilled because she got to be in the rape scene. My girlfriend and I suspected that some of these people, especially the adults, have some extremely sick tendencies brought on by repression.
