Yes i did wonder how much of the film was changed for legal reasons. If you go and see it let me know what you think? :)

Oh! Bradbury appears in the movie. I have never seen him before.

You mean he's in The Great Dictator? Or just the doc?

Yeah 'cos it doesn't point the finger at her probably.

I saw "Batman Begins" yesterday. I liked it, and I thought it had good explanations for Batman's various accessories. At first, I wondered why there would be a cave full of bats beneath Wayne Manor, but they actually explained it in the movie, which is worth some points. I liked the Scarecrow as a villain, as well as how the plot came full circle in having the organization that trained Bruce Wayne end up being behind the plot to destory Gotham City. Someone I knew said the plot didn't make much sense as far as the laws of physics go, and I think I understand what he meant, but it didn't bother me too much. While the Batman series never seems to resort to giving characters magic powers and the like, there's a pretty significant fudge factor as far as what technology and chemistry can accomplish. Anyway, it was a good movie, and I'm glad I got to see it while it was still in theaters.

I liked Broken Flowers a lot. But then, I like those kind of films.

I just watched Great Excpectations (Hawke/Palrtow version). What a load of crap. Dickens would be sad.

I thought Broken FLowers was a chick flick. How sensitive you boys are.

You're mistaken (at least the 2nd time today). No Bill Murray film is a chick flick, except perhaps Groundhog Day.

Just watched The Life Aquatic.(SPOLIER!!!) Bill Murray firing a glok (or a gun he grabed off a pirate) to the dirge of Search and Destroy is well worth seeing. Still not to sure wether I enjoyed watching the film as a whole, was it too silly or too serious? probably both, which I know Wes Anderson likes to mix up. I have to see it again to decide, but I end up liking all his films anyway!

Yeah, that was a cool one. We just saw The Nomi Song.

It's about Klaus Nomi. It was really an very interesting biography. I feel dumb but I didn't know about him. Very talented musician/entertainer.

French TV interview of Interpol. Daniel's answering in fluent perfect French. Paul's drinking red wine and smiling.

I watched The Accidental Tourist for the first time yesterday. I thought it was very good. Geena Davis' performance was really touching. Where the hell has she been, does she act anymore?

Yesterday I watched Constantine, with Keanu Reeves. Amazingly it didn't suck as much as I thought. It was actually *gasp* pretty good.
Then I watched the second half of Mars Attacks, which was as great as ever.

I thought it was OK. Just OK.

Last night I watched The Aviator. I was enjoying it until he developed all those annoying habits, then he started to annoy me and the film was beginning to drag. It picked back up again but then the ending wasn't the greatest.

That's right, "pretty good" is a bit too strong. But I had such low expectations that the surprise was quite pleasant.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this Xavier, but Francis Lawrence made it, and I'm pretty sure he didn't do it for you. You wanna have a word with "La Swinton".

You can't trust the French.

Hehe, it's Xavier's fault for not quoting you. It seemed like he was talking about The Aviator. I have no idea who La Swinton is.

The French thing was just like, erm you know....La Swinton.

Francis Lawrence, not Scorsese. Don't try to tease me, Michael.

It's actually your fault. You're not the center of the universe, you know?

finally say Harold and Maud, it really is a warm, dark funny film...the mother is superb when she sees her son's date supposedly dead on the floor, 'Harold, what have you done?....that was the last girl".
