Those 2+Revenge Of The Sith and Sin City are the big movies I've seen recently, before that Mean Creek(good deliverence-influenced movie), Downfall (brilliant, possibly the best movie I've seen this year) and The Amityville Horror(Shite!). |

I watched 'Team America: World Police' last night. It was pretty funny in parts, but nothing too hilarious.

COLD MOUNTAIN was good, but Jack White was really quite good - i was impressed
THE FEARLESS FREAKS - the Flaming Lips doc, was fantastic. HIGHLY recommended. but there was the scarieste scene i've ever witnessed when S. Drozd is talking about his heroin addiction while shooting up. freaky shit

A way-too-fun Clash DVD, compliments of Jediroller.
Sweet baby Jesus in the manger, can Paul Simonon's arms be that long?

Last weekend I watched Mr & Mr Smith - surprisingly enjoyable, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory - all of you including your beautiful offspring should go see it as soon as it comes out and Madagascar which I LOVED.

Watched Saw again, for the second time-first time was in the cinema, the DVD is suppossedly uncut, I'm not sure if it means there is additional gore not present in the original theatrical release! The Fear Factory video on the DVD is so corny! :D |

Yet another Clash DVD compliments of Jedi "Ghetto Defendant" Roller.
Amazing footage -- Simonon with Aladdin Sane hair; sweat pouring off young Joe Strummer's nose; the audience going insane. In-fucking-credible fun.

saw the life aquatic recently, very entertaining. loved the music in it too. i don't what language that guy was singing the bowie tunes in but i liked. also had that sigur ros song i liked when they found the shark, gave me goose bumps.
tried to watch spanglish, had to go to bed, too slow. my sister said the ending was terrible, i will have to force myself to watch it now....
The waxworks were an immensely eloquent dissertation on the wonderful ordinariness of mankind. |

Yeah, they're really good. I guess you haven't seen the movie then, in fact the guy plays the songs live during the movie, so it's kind of lo-fi, acoustic, and in portuguese of course. I really recommend you both the movie and the soundtrack, which also has great songs by the Zombies, Devo, the Stooges and more. Oh, and that terrible song by Joan Baez but that's what the "next track" touch on your stereo is there for.

Last night I finally watched Ring, the japanese version. Really good film, not really as scary as I thought (but I was very tired) but still cool.

Wow! I can't believe I've never checked out this thread! I guess 'The Kay Edit' just threw me off...
Anyhow, yesterday I watched:
WHITE NOISE - like every horror movie, they start with a somewhat entertaining premise and within 30 minutes the movie is a pool of malarkey. Very stupid.
THE CANDIDATE - Very, very good Robert Redford political satire from 1972.
BLOOD WORK - Clint Eastwood hokum from 2002. Strangely, I like Eastwood...there's something about him that's cool...but he's gotta be one of the worst actors ever. But I guess when you have clout...
I was alone...in my BIG BED
