I just finished watching Girl, interupted. Very very good. The best film I have seen in a while. I never realised Ms Jolie could act so well.

I love that one actor from that movie, yeah, that one.
My friend who works at a bookstore goes ballistic when she talks
about how at least twice a day some customer will ask for that book, you
know the one, with, um, well, the author's name, no, don't know the
author's name but the book's title has the word "the" in it and it's
by, you know, that author.

Okay here we go:
In kiss me guido this italian guy finds his girlfriend screwing his brother. He decides to move to the "city". He already lives in the Bronx working at a pizza joint with Joey Chips so to hear him say move to the city from the Bronx is pretty bfunny in itself. He answers a roomate ad looking for GWM. He has know idea what GWM is so the hilarity insues. He wants to be an actor and ends up overcoming his homophobia in the process of preparing for a play. At the end all these guidos from the neighborhood show up cause they here he is in a play. His buddy Joey Chips from the pizza joint ends up picking up what he believes is a woman but in actuality is one of the very gay guys (from thoughout the movie) in very scarey, unconvincing drag. The next day back at the pizza joint Joey Chips is bragging about his conquest at the pizza joint. the whole scene is shot looking out of the pizza oven. He is descibing how wild this chick from the city was to a couple of the guys. How she went down on him right there in the parking lot. They ask "Did ya bang her?" He's like "I was too drunk I passed out." They ask "What did she look like?" and as he's closing the pizza oven and all is about to go black, he says "She looked like Marylin Monroe" She was hideous! It was hilarious!

i forgot to say about DEMONLOVER.. despite that it was disappointing, it had an interesting score by Sonic Youth.. almost all feedback and noise. i don't think there was one guitar chord or note plucked in the whole score. very minimal and moody. reminded me of some of David Lynch's sound work.
