since I'm new I just discovered the trading area which is exactly what I've been looking for (I know such things existed for other bands, I just didn't know where to get Frank stuff) thus, I'm diggin' some new tracks such as Deadman's Curve and right at this moment, "the water" or whatever you want to call it. both great songs |

Those are fantastic songs, mantaraysallright. See if you can find the March 16, 2006, show at the Cafe du Nord in San Francisco. I think that's one of the first times he did those. But the one I really love from that show is the Rabbit Song -- or Rabbit Hole, or whatever it's called.
I could not find my honeycomb. |

first of all the melody and arrangment is genius and the way it flows feels like your at the circus or something
but the vocals which can sound silly at first are rather sweet
but his vocal delivery makes them sound angelic

I was just listening to FB's cover of Duke of Earl. This could have turned out cheesy but it didn't. It's BEAUTIFUL! |

hmmm.... That's not the version I have. It was cool to see the video but the laughing is annoying (and so is his hat). I still think the version I have is beautiful - almost makes you want to cry it's so good! |

I'm digging She's My Way too. The first time I heard it I thought "eh"...The second time I heard it I thought hmmm...The third time I heard it I was hooked. I LOVE this song! Because of ChRISTMASS I've been neglecting the rest of my FB collection. I blew the dust off Fast Man today. I still love this one a LOT too. |

last night my gal was playing Christmas tunes.........not Christmass tunes.....but CHRISTMAS tunes!!! on January 4th!!! I was like "aw baby - Christmas is OVER - don't play that crap!!" Sure enough - I woke up with some ridiculous Christmas carols stuck in my head this morning.
got to think of something.......anything....to get this out of my head.........think.........think......oh yeah! the new FRANK cd!! started thinking of "She's My Way" and it stuck with me all day - knocked "jingle bell rock" right on it's arse

Today I momentarily fell asleep in my Psychology class listening to She's My Way. Yep, we sure do work hard at my college.
She's My Way has permanently been in my head since I got Christmass.

It wasn't meant to be, more a place to express what we like in a certain song we're listening to so I could see if the likes are the same as mine. You know, like a certain noise here, feedback there. My project of nonsense. You my guinea pigs. It didn't work out. What's new.

Damn, this thread is so long, you changed names since it began, fbc.
Strangely (for me), I'm listening to the Pixies lately. I'm normally much more into Frank solo. Something clicked for me in "Here Comes Your Man" the other day, and I can't stop listening to it. I'm doing that obsessive thing where I listen to it eight or 10 times in a row, and then I listen to all the versions I can find in my iTunes library. What gets me is that he wrote it when he was about 15. My whole life's work doesn't even compare to that song. I like how he waxes romantic about the filthy-bearded hobo on the train. It reminds me of the song "Fitzgerald" from FMRM.
And aren't you havin' fun? |

I'm listening to 'You Never Heard About Me', I can't understand how I ignored this song for so long. It's just so simple, a tremendous rock song, and that guitar solo...wow! (Who is that by the way? I don't have any liner notes, is it Lyle?)
I like the vocals too. There seems to be a sort of desperation in Frank's voice, like in the last "You never ever heard about me-eeeeee". I can understand why it was a B-side, I can't hear it fitting on any of his albums, but what a B-side it is!

"Fitzgerald".
I've been singing that one almost everyday at work for the past five months. |
