Listening to Nadine -- repeatedly. Every version I can get my hands on. It's one of FB's simplest songs, but it's one of the most infectious.

I'm listening '21 Reasons' at the moment. This is fast becoming one of my favourites. I'm listening to Black Letter Days quite a bit at the moment. I'm finally starting to appreciate it as much as other FB albums.

I told you it was a great album. How about I Will Run After You? Is it not great? And also Southbound Bevy, Chip Away Boy and many others.

Kiss my ring ...really great, one of the best on FMRM
I am speculating as to what frank is singing about, but if it's autobiographical , It sounds like maybe he has just turned down
some great offer and while he is at his accountants, and decides to lounge in the fountain ( in great rock star fashion, he has been drinking)
and, as he is lounging in the fountain he is thinking to himself
man, I really am the greatest....so...kiss my ring .....
well anyway thats what it seems to mean to me ..and I like it
anyone else have any speculation on this ?

so it being halloween and all the mrs. and i checked out the rocky horror picture show the other night for the first time! ya, we were rhps virgins! we were ever blown away!

so where am i going with this? we'll it got me thinking of hedwig and the angry inch and frank's superb contribution to the soundtrack.

SUGAR DADDY!!

When honey bees go shopping
It's something to be seen
They swarm to wild flowers
And get nectar for the queen
And every thing you bring me
got me dripping like a honeycomb
And if you've got some sugar for me
Sugar Daddy bring it home

and i'm loving the nice honeycomb reference!

ATOM IN MY HEART

Is your mind gone?
Are you dog tired?
Do you feel like it can't get no worse?
I'm a big guy, can we try this?
I will be the whole universe
and you'll be the center
You'll burn inside me like a star
An atom in my heart
An atom in my heart

AND DO YOU LIKE THE DOUBLE POST!?!

and no offence to fbc's tip top, top notch, groovy thread, but i'm listening to

Anesthetist's Song - Reid Paley

and loving it!

Well I was thinking of asking for this thread to be locked and your canadian ass banned, but listening to 'All Around The World' has me on a high.

I let you off this once, but only because you're Fu.
(And don't you be getting any ideas about posting your non-FB tracks, oldman!)

well i haven't read the lyrics yet to Kiss My Ring - but I know this much- WWGT knows his Frank!!! so I wouldn't be surprised if he was dead on the money

I was listening to an acoustic version of "End of the World" and marveling at how Frank can write a song about John Candy in such a Shakespearean way - and do it so seemingly off the cuff like that

I heard him say on one of those radio interviews that he wrote "Fast Man" in 15 minutes - 15 MINUTES???!!! Clearly the man is tapped in - he has no problems creating

I've been listening a lot to The water and That burnt out rock and roll lately.
TBORAR is an amazing song that makes me think of Sister Isabel in a way and I can't wait to hear a full band studio version of it !

Listening to Fitzgerald. Have been for months. My 7 year old son and my 6 year old daughter know the words by heart and can sing it without the music coming on. It is ridiculous. My daughter thinks Elijah is better though and I have to play it for her over and over.

I love to hear about kids who love Frank too. Mine are 7 and 4 and have their own favorites. I can't get the 7-year-old to stop playing "Billy Radcliffe." The 4-year-old hates when I call him Raider Man, because he doesn't want to lose his legs like the guy in the song. (What amazed me is that I don't play that song much and I didn't point out the deal about the legs to him -- he picked that up on his own.)

My 5 month old can play "Hermaphrodites" on the harp. Just kidding. I have no kids but if I do I can't wait to show them Frank's music. I love hearing stories about kids listening to Frank.

If you've ever listened to Spiders by Wilco, that makes for an excellent jam to watch the kids slam to. By the way, I bring up another band on this site with all due respect. In my mind, nothing compares to Frank which is a little sad. For a while there Pavement was hanging in there but since Malkmus went solo, he has faded.

I haven't heard it, perrom, but i'll give it a try. I'll video the little one and send it into 'You've Been Framed' (u.k show) and pocket £250.

Ah, exploitation.
