Who could outrun a greased Scotsman? Actually, I imagine Rampant Bob looks a bit like Groundskeeper Willie - taller, but the same colouring, shapely pins, mode of dress (and diction!).
Poor Troy!
Shame about the class. Em, what would Bart look like in banana PJs? |

My heart belongs to Nelson - "an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a vest".
I think Bart would be STUNNING in my banana pajamas. Although he would be lost in them, for sure.
Sorry to hear the class were zombies today. Bummah. But I feel their pain - especially if it is as cold there as it is here.
Brrrrrrrrrr....
How are those sickies, Andy? |

I have just phoned them, the sickies seem better. I don't believe a word of it. I will go home to discover the mark of the plague on our door. |

A huge P marking the plague and much phlegm. LOVELY! Perhaps I should send them a care package of banana pajamas - they are sure to save!

I want some banana pajamas! I'll wear them to class and sleep at my lectern.
Yep, definitely same coloring as Willie. Rampant Bob resembles nothing so much as Opie from the Andy Griffith show, but gigantic. (NOT, I emphasize, like the adult Ron Howard--eww!)
I'm going to skulk away to the cafeteria and console myself for my crappy morning with starchy foods. |

Take care of yer ladies, Andy!
Sample of the horror I inflicted on the students today: "To become conscious of the present is to become conscious of death, for the present is continuous death." Damned French philosophers. Feh! |

Hey, here's a weird new-agey question for y'all - anyone know of any good horoscope websites? I am obsessed with reading 'em lately and desperate for new good sites. My personal faves are www.cainer.com and www.astroabby.com - check them out if you care.
PS. Zanni (wherever you are!) - finally getting into that Wilco CD, I am slow on the upswing. I think "Heavy Metal Drummer" is my new theme song...

Okay, we are dead today I guess. Monday Monday. I am so bored - wish someone was around to say HI too. Packed two filing cabinets though, now my hands are red and raw. Fun.
Hope the kiddies are better, Andy - and that you are recovering from the class, Miss Sarah.
Talk to you guys tomorrow. XXXX |

hey there just back from nancy cartwright - really good - but as crowds were so big - and i got there a wee bit too late - i didnt get to see her live. i did get to see her on a video screen in another lecture theatre which wasnt the same. having said that - she was really funny and played to the crowd really well. i also didnt realise she did the voices of nelson and ralf and rod and todd! mad stuff. great fun - but still po'd about not getting in in time.

cheers

i couldnt hear most of them because she didnt repeat them for us. i shouted out 'banana pyjamas' across the corridors... but to no avail. the only ones i heard were about how she goes on from here (will she always be remembered as bart only) and what guests were really bad on the show. we irish people ask the most anal questions!

I'm glad banana pajamas were represented! I didn't know she did the voice of my love, Nelson, either. Like that bad boy streak, you know.
What to say about Tuesday? How are the kids, Andy? Tonight is the State of the Union over here, where we get to see our idiot president cheered for leading us to war. Sigh. |

Kids are not too bad thanks - Punk rocker is stil a bit snotty, but this is to be expected here at this time of year.
That State of the Union address will be awful (we will get most of it too!). I can almost hear the grave sincerity, the invocation of God... ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH |

I just fucking hate when they all stand up and cheer for things I think immoral and reprehensible - and I know there will be a lot of that this year. Ick.
Glad to hear the kids are somewhat better. I was coming up with "Sheena is a snot rocker" jokes and then I grossed myself out.
Ew. |

So, let's ignore it and hope it goes away! Cause that always works SO well.
What else is new?
I am crusing through the week - wondering if I should or should not attend Drummer Boy's show on Saturday. Is very hard to resist him when he is playing those drums. |

Well, I agree, it can't be ignored. Our news is full of the anti-war movement at least, but we have to watch far too many bulletins and read way too many papers as V is a journalist - it is at times a blessed relief when C asks for a video!
Surely the Saturday show will give you a taste for the St Valentine's Day Rompfest? |

yeah, the bad thing about shows is that I sometimes end up having a bad time. Mostly because a) he is so preoccupied (rightfully so) b) there are a lot of "meaningful" glances which generally confuse me and c) I couldn't go home with him even if I wanted too, b/c there is no room for me in his car with all his drum shit crammed in there. So it is always a non-exciting "see ya". |

He needs (a) a bigger car (b) to take up the bongos for one evening only. Could you flash him a glimpse of the banana pyjamas during one of the meaningful glances? He would be putty in your hands. |

I think I should ammend their name to the GIANT banana pajamas. And maybe invite him in, we could certainly both fit in them - they are HUGE!
I am already trying to think of which "dig me shirt" (tm, my friend John) to wear...and which sexy jeans. Oh, what a dilemma!

Morninggg! Overslept. I'm not late for anything (except story time at the li-berry) but it's weird to get up at 5 o'clock one morning and then sleep eleven hours the next. Maybe that's just how I'll recover from teaching.
What the hell does Nancy Cartwright look like? I see Dan C all the time & Hank Azaria, Yeardley Smith, and Harry Shearer are all pretty busy character actors, but I've never seen Nancy.
Stoopid State of the Union. I'm not watching it--Z will still be awake and I see no reason to expose her to that idiot's ramblings. I'll just read it in my tiny town paper tomorrow. |

Those PJs get better and better! Morning Sarah. I can barely cope with the news at the moment. Not only is the world on the brink of the most asinine war, V's been covering some grotesque court cases - one of which involved quite barbaric sexual torture. Did it make the Toad Suck Herald? |

That's the Log Cabin Democrat to you, mister! No, didn't show up in our paper (although our local headline Friday was "Ball-Peen Hammer Murderer Sentenced!), but that nationwide rash of child abuction cases this summer just about did me in. Is V a print journalist or telly? |

Print - mostly court reporting at the moment. And most of the cases are so horribly depressing. Her last TV appearance was unintentional, she was caught on cmaera coming out of the High Court and waving cheerily to a colleague whilst police and council officials were being grilled as to how they let a woman with learning disabilities be systematically tortured by three 'men'. |

Ball-Peen Murderer? Yikes.
All the news is just too depressing, I want to know what is happening in the world, but I am also horrified. I vote for hiding under ones covers in banana pajamas.
