A brief visit - hope you are better Steve, well done Sarah - sorry to have missed the rest of you. I had a crap meeting followed by a funeral today. What a shite Friday! Good weekends to you all.

Poor Steve! Feel better, please.

Sorry you had a shitty Friday, Andy. Hope the weekend looks up for you.

I just picked up one of my nephews for the weekend. He lost a tooth today, and I get to play surrogate tooth fairy. $10 U.S. is apparently what a tiny incisor goes for these days. All we ever got was a quarter and a pack of gum. Geez Louise!

RIBBIT! You have induced balanced anaesthesia already, Sarah - congrats. I bet Rampant Bob in his size 13s would have woken them up.

Lordy! I have to lace him into his bustier tonight and do his makeup. He's on his own though when it's time to don the pantyhose.

Good God. Can any hose contain him? Does he not need to don a humungous codpiece for the sake of decency (or indecency)?

And there I must go to bed! If I start to dream of gargantuan transvestites it will be no great change, I mean, I blame Rampant Bob.

Enjoy tonight/the weekend!

No shagfest for me. Although visions of Bob in his bustier continue to haunt every waking moment. How did it go Sarah?

Swimmingly! Bob was adorable in drag, and completely stole the show. He was both terrifying and prim in his three-inch heels and bouffant wig. He giggled a lot, and received many compliments on his shapely calves. I fully expect him to be insufferably vain for the next several days. (Ten years ago he received the "Golden Calf" award after a Restoration theatre festival in which he was declared to have the handsomest stockinged legs, and it went straight to his head.) I went home and fetched Z and her cousin for the reception afterwards, and it took a while to convince her that the big frightening lady was in fact Daddy. I had someone take a "Zelda has two mommies" picture for posterity.

By the end of the evening his makeup had sort of melted and he looked like Norma Desmond from "Sunset Boulevard." He scared the hell out of the head of the theatre department by backing him into a corner while intoning, "I'm ready for my closeup, Max. . . "

No shagfest for me either, just workworkwork. It's making me cranky. Grrrr.

The Golden Calf! I would have give him a run for his money after yesterday's creative dance class - I found the seal quite easy, but my 'butterfly' was dismal. Only one other dad took part yesterday, and he was completely malodorous. Now I think about it, I would have won the ugliest feet award by quite a distance. A composite Rampant Bob/Ten Percente would be an interesting specimen.

As for Norma Desmond, I get the feeling he is getting a taste for these theatrical events. Are you sure Z has not seen him dressed like this at home before?

You guys are cracking me up. Love the tales of travestite-dome, am so sorry the HH couldn't be there to support Bouffant Bob and the calf kickers. Sounds like a time.

Hope your days are getting better, Andy - since the bad Friday. I can't believe we are rolling around to Monday again. Yikes.

Heh-heh. No drag at home . . . anymore, anyway. When we were undergraduates he had this dress he wore everywhere because it was comfortable/mildly shocking. Were he a smaller person, I'm sure he would have been thoroughly pummeled. (When he interviewed for his job at the college, the hiring committee asked about the dress and wanted assurances that it had been retired.)

Now that you mention it, I do see him wistfully eyeing Z's little feather boa and tiara from time to time . . .

Andy, I'd give you a run for your money in the ugly feet department, poor archless monster that I am. As for the butterfly, it's all in the wrists. Did the instructor regard you more charitably this week?

I think if people (okay, boys) were more open, they would all be wearing tiaras and feather boas. Quite comfortable, really.

Oh, wait, these feathers keep blowing in my eyes!

Yeah, I think they hold a lot of dust - I have a black and red one that does the same thing. Ah, the price of glamour!

My weekend is okay. Very low key. Talked to that Boob yesterday briefly - now I am like "okay, let's hurry up and have SOMETHING happen" but of course I know it is apt to take forever. And I am still kinda mad, so I am torn. I am Natalie Imbruglia. Heh. D'oh!

My pile of laundry is threatening to come to life and suffocate me, but I am ignoring it. And I don't wanna go to work tomorrow! Whine!!

How are you, Sarah? Did you get reimbursed for that tooth fairy gig? My friends were only giving their kid a quarter - I said they had to bump it up to $1 - but I think TEN is excessive. Sheesh. It's just a TOOTH!

Yeah, my sister gave me the dough. Turns out she didn't have anything smaller than a ten. Crazy woman! What's he going to want next time? A Playstation?! His brother was hospitalized this week, so I think she must be overcompensating.

I am being summoned to breakfast, and I hear Zelda weeping because her cousin is tired of playing Candyland with her. (He's seven and completely over the thrill of reaching the Candy Castle.)

Have a lovely day, Em. Hope your laundry doesn't sneak up on you. : )

I'll play Candyland with Ms. Z. Tell her I'll be right over.

Forgot to tell you all that I got some fabulous PJ's yesterday - blue flannel with banana's all over them! They are the bees knees! And inspire many interesting comments. "I'm bananas for you" etc. I am sure you guys can come up with better.

Okay, the laundry is moving. Must away to battle!

Happy Sunday, Sarah, and everyone else. Latah!

Banana pajamas! How adorable! I weary of plaid flannel. Sad confession time: it's laundry day here as well, and I'm wearing the poor old pair of nursing pj's that were hiding at the bottom of the drawer. I need to throw them away so that this doesn't keep happening. (Z remembers them well and has been sort of pawing at me all morning. Help!)

The Boob would be bananas to resist you in such garb! (There--how's that? I'm sure Andy can do better, but it's the best I can do before I've fully caffeinated.)

I have to say I look rightly huge in the PJ's though - they are a medium, but I think a sumo wrestler could be quite comfy in them. They are not really "sex clothes" (as I like to call more stylish undies) - dear Henhouse, I hope I don't let you down!

Am v. restless - tackled the laundry and now am in deep phases of "okay, he is not going to call me back". That motard is only responsive when there is some kind of conflict. Woe is me.

Any one watching the Superbowl? I could care less, but I am looking forward to the episode of Alias afterwards.

Nerd! Party of one!

Bluh. I'm sick of studying. Anybody do anything fun this weekend? (Steve, yet another shagfest, I presume?) How was Nancy Cartwright, Bazza?

Went for a nice Trompe le Monde-length walk today and it was like a ghost town. Stupid Super Bowl.

Banana PJs! I bet Rampant Bob wouldn't wear those. However, I hope the motard unpeels them to enjoy the fruits below... Sarah, the caffeine please!

I live in a sick house. V has a cold/bad throat -as does the punk rocker, and now C is complaining of a sore tummy.

Andy, your poor sick ladies! I hope they're feeling 100% (or is it 10%?) again soon. (If it goes anything like illnesses at our house, no sooner will you get them better then you'll come down with the worst case of all.)

Thanks for the funny! I needed that at this ungodly hour, particularly considering that there is no coffee in this house. I'd probably snort a line of coffee grounds right now if it didn't mean going outside in the freezing cold and digging through the trash like an opossum.

I think I could manage an opposum at the creative dance class - is crawling the only movement required?

No coffee?? That is an emergency - do any of Toad Suck's outlets have a delivery van with a siren?

I'd say that's a good enough question, Barry. Have fun and report back tomorrow!

Andy, I believe that you would also be required to dangle from trees were you an opossum. Their walk is not terrible taxing though--they just sort of shamble.

I'm off in search of coffee. (And then on to class. Unnnnhhhhh.) Have a lovely afternoon/evening, sirs.

Since this is the HH, I suppose the question should be something like: Who would she prefer to shag - Krusty the Clown or Groundskeeper Willie?

Ohhhhh, Monday suuuuuuuuucks. Only half of my history class showed up (and it was pop quiz day) and now I'll have to be stern with them. Crap! The intro class looked very sleepy but I interrogated them mercilessly. Everybody hates me, and I need a nap. At least Thursday is payday.

I vote for Groundskeeper Willie--have you ever seen him shirtless?!? (Though my heart will always belong to the late, great Troy McClure.)
