Hey! I'm here too! But I can't tell the time on this freaking thing (I have never been good with the military time) so am I alone? What time is it? Ahhhh!!!
(of course I will be able to tell once I post this, but anyways...) |

I never know what time the hell time it is here. I know it's a few hours off of CST. Didja see a movie, Em? Do they still sell popcorn like in the olden days? I don't get to movies much anymore . . .
Had another bizarre post-nuclear family incident tonight in which my father had me invite my mother to dinner so that she could meet his new girlfriend. Hunh? I'm going to go re-view Stuart Saves His Family. It's become my own personal holiday movie, and I use it to fortify myself against neurotic relatives. Bon soir. |

We went to see CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. It was good. Not what I totally wanted to see, but it was alright. I like Tom Hanks - sheesh, who doesn't - he's so freaking likeable!
I am watching TRUTH OR DARE now, the wonders of fame. It's interesting and weird, like many things I suppose.
Interesting nuclear family incident for sure. My parents have managed to stay friends post-divorce, I guess it's a good thing. It was always good for me. But those family dinners are always FUN, eh? |

Eeesh! It was a perfectly civilized family event but very tiring. Speaking of the wonders of fame, I've been guiltily enjoying the Anna Nicole Show. I think it's like what Joseph Conrad called the "fascination of the abomination"--I just can't not watch it! I can't say that I recommend it, though.
Have a good night, Em. I'm gonna' go drink now. :P

Em, hope you have a safe trip home! Sarah, hope you had a drink for me last night...

Hey SF, good to see you here! Sounds like things are going great for you, hooray!! Good luck with your apartment, is this a move out of an unhappy place or just financially better? Sorry, I'm just being nosy!

Darling... Not to worry...not to worry...
I actually live at home with the folks...after University and Travel I have not been at home in ages (7 years) and the life at home is getting a little hectic... now is the golf course making more sense?
Actually the apartment is cheap and close to downtown as well so this is super nice!

Love the 'darling' stuff, does not bother me at all. Very endearing... I'm sure you aren't all THAT bad, really. But some of you guys just make me shake my head in bewilderment. I'm sure the same for you guys when it comes to us girls!!

Haha... was just playing pinball actually! But JUST playing pinball, ho-hum. Seriously, I love playing, it's cool and I'm lucky enough to have my own game right in my basement!
Haven't went snowmobiling in a couple of nights, maybe later tho...
P.S. A lot of guitar playing today... thank God, I need the practice. My daughters and I were having fun with my new Korg ToneWorks. Neat stuff. Rebecca has developed a love for the "wah" effect. Uh oh, a future guitarist in our midst! |

Ah well, it's all for the best. Thanks. Rebecca and Erin LOVE Frank. And I mean L-O-V-E!!! They know more FB&TCs lyrics than the damn Wiggles for heaven's sake!! They would love to meet him someday. Maybe at a future in-store?? He very graciously accepted their artwork at the Philly show, what a gentleman he was about it. It just so warmed my heart. When I saw him after the show, he very gently said "Now take care of those little ones." I could have cried, I mean it was just so sweet of him even to make the effort to say that, especially after a kick ass show and prolly being extremely tired and such!

My two love Frank as well - some would term it indoctrination, I would argue that they possess deep insight and discernment. When my 4-year-old was in hospital recently (tonsillectomy) the hospital radio staff asked her to choose a track to be dedicated to her. She chose Bartholomew, as well as 'My darlin' Clementine'! Inevitably, they had neither in their library. Frank is a gent.

No Problem Darling....
Good they like the Francois. When I was young it was beatles beatles beatles all the time. I remember being 4 and changing the records in my old house... glad I bypassed the whole ode's to the colour of the school bus and songs about the size of a dog... even if this has likely effected my ability to spell.

Ice Hockey of course... the world Jr's is on at the moment. The 10 leading countries have a tournament in which players 19yrs old and under are able to participate. We use to always win but it has been a while. So far we are undefeated this year and team is looking good.

Momentarily back in between getting dinner on the table and putting on some horrible kid's show to keep them happy for a few minutes. Undefeated, wow that's great!

Hey, peoples. I've been so busy defending the honor of my dainty parts in another thread that I haven't even made it over here today. Went to the zoo, too. The monkeys looked sad, but every last one of the peacocks was strutting it for the ladies today.
Zan, I love your story about Frank and the drawings. That's so sweet! He was very gentlemanly when I met him as well.
Andy, Zelda has made me change the lyrics of Darling Clementine because she can't bear the tragedy of it. (She has a friend named Clementine, so maybe that's it.)
Sigh. Must go cook dinner now before folks start gnawing on my ankles. |
