And aren't you having it while you eat it? It should be "keep" and "eat" not "have" and "eat." I prefer the phrase "shit or get off the pot" for conveying a similar sentiment in a much more concise manner (i.e. the person who wants to have his/her cake and eat it too clearly needs to shit or get off the pot.)
I believe it actually is "think," but no way am I gonna argue with Judas Priest. "Thing" just sounds better.

Stretching my neck out...the earlier link for the lyrics to "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" are VERY inaccurate. At least one mistake in every verse. So many mistakes, in fact, the song may actually be called "You've Got Another Think Comin'". How do I know? Uh...a friend told me! To those of you saying "think" doesn't make sense, please explain how "thing" does. What thing? Where? What is it referring to?
"Another think coming" makes perfect sense. Your first thought was wrong. So you get an extra try.

Since 'thing' means..well..anything..it makes sense.
"You have another 'event' coming." Think works as well, and it seems likely it's the original usage, but we've bastardized it enough to use it as 'thing'. =)

Well, the link I supplied explains that the THINK version comes from a joke which was meant to be WRONG in the first place - which is "If that's what you think, you have another think coming". In that context, it makes a lot more sense to me.
When you say "you have another THINK coming" - it's confusing because think is a verb, not a noun. It just sounds wrong.

and try to say "think coming." the k and c sounds can't go together naturally. Maybe that's why it became "thing." People probably heard the c and k as one sound and figured the first word was only thing.

Think is also (slang) used as a noun, as in: I'm going to sit down and have myself a think.
I don't know if it's wrong or right, but I've always said thing, cause to me it was implied that if so-and-so was gonna keep being a dumbass, they would be getting another thing, other than what they expected, which would be, theoretically speaking mind you, a punch to the throat.
