hey glacial, I decided to skip my first class tomorrow so I'm on the IRC. Thought I'd let you know given our previous convo.

Hey, sorry I didn't join the IRC last night, I went to bed like, right before you made this post I guess.

Is anybody on that irc channel now? I was just there, and it was some guy named Ben. And he was quieter than a churchmouse. Did I join the wrong channel?

No that's the right channel. He was there last night and didn't say a word. Who is the silent enigma. Think I'll call him Old Ben. Yep, Old Ben, the essence of IRC. You can take Ben out of the IRC but you can't take the IRC out of Ben. Always been there and always will be. It's late, sorry.

Maybe he's a bot, dunno - do you know who moderates the chat? Sorry if that's a stoopid question :) |

I though El Barto did but he hasn't been there. Um, I really don't know much about IRC so no question is stupid to me.

the paper last night? heh, I plan to take full advantage of his rewrite policy, let's leave it at that. Tonight's paper is more of a question and answer thing and it's tedious. I'll be checking back here periodically tonight until I finish the paper but I don't think I'll be signing on to the IRC. You gonna be here long?

It's actually a guy who used to post on the forum named Ben Chroneos. (He was just called Chroneos on FB.net.) He seems to just leave the IRC open all the time. He rarely speaks. Usually IceCream, WolfManMikeLonely, and Ben are the only people who show up on the IRC, and when I'm on there they rarely say much. Yup, I'd say the IRC is in a state of decline right about now. I've only been on there a couple of occasions since it's inception.
No one actually moderates the channel from this forum. I believe there are moderators from some other source, but you don't seem to hear from them. |

Thanks for the info glacial! I'm familiar with Chroneos - I think he's from my home town of Louisville.
scutor- I'll be around for a while - late night in the studio and listening to good ol' coast to coast am - I love that show! |

Lovely! ;) I'm actually at the point in life where I wish all that rote memorized info were still with me. Though most of the textbooks were whitewashed anyway. What topic are you focusing on now, if I may ask? |

I think this might have become the scutor, glacial and apl thread. Anyhoo, I'm here tonight writing yet another paper. I'm really too tired this time. Is anyone around?

yay, there's someone to help me procrastinate a little more and assure being dead on my feet tomorrow. My paper is on Man's relationship to animals and nature but mostly animals. If you have any poems you'd like to share on this subject please do so . . . now.
