Thaks TOTIPOTENT, I've changed my sig anyway. I listened to the song a couple of times before I used that as my sig to make sure I got it right, I was assuming that we'd evolved big heads and lost our little toes beacause their was no use for them anymore, but then again I'm probably completely wrong? Are the lyrics in the Tab section?

hey there.... uh... rumours, how about checking the lyric sheet for the lyrics? You HAVE the album, right? Do they come with lyric sheets in Irishville?

I don't know fuman, this could be a reference to her, but since his name isn't really Frank Black, would her name really be Jean Black? Perhaps that's her maiden name and it's all a grand coincidence, but I'd imagine that's not her last name. And the line is "now death as you'd expect was all dressed up in black, I beleive. |

Yah sorry we're thirty years behinde here in Irishville!!? I'm afraid I have it on a burnt disk(shame on me but I got BLD and my friend got DW to cut costs and burnt each other a copy) but I plan on buying the original soon so I can get Frank to sign it when I see him next, but actually I prefer listening to the Kitchen Tapes version more, nice and raw. I was too lazy to look it up, I was hoping some other would just do it for me. Hee hee, Har Mar is a nasty bastard but I thnought he was the most entertaing thing I'd seen in ages, he's a pure novelty act and you probably never hear of him again, but he made my weekend, so for that, I salute him.

| I can forgive you rumours, it's okay. I'm a burner myself. Of course, I purchase everything I can, but one can only spend so much of one's budget on records. Har Mar is nasty indeed, but I've never seen him live. I don't think I could tolerate it. And I don't thing he thinks he's a novelty act. He seems to get upset when interviewers make that assertion. The fact that he thinks he's for real makes it all the more funny. Or sad. I'm not sure. |

good points. it got my attention the way he said the word "black" on the SMYT recording of horrible day. as i can remember frank doesn't emphasize the word black on the live version. so i just thought maybe he was drawing attention to this. i may be wrong. maybe an "anynomous" forum member may provide us with some insight.
i realize jean's maiden name is walsh. however, anyone who married frank would/should be more than happy to be referred as mrs. black. that does sound chauvinistic but frank is a songwriting god. like he wrote speedy marie for her!! |

True, true. You have to take him with a pinch of salt, but I dont think he can ride the nasty little pornostar rapper horse forever, so I dont see him hanging around for long. But live, he is very funny. Someone threw a bottle(plastic) at him and he stuck it down his pants, and said that it "touched his dick", so someone should try and sell it on ebay! He also did a great rendition of a Stevie Wonder song I cant remeber the nmae of right now.
