Some bands sound like summer, some like winter, a few like Frank do all four seasons well. Since it's summer, what are your picks as to great summer bands/summer albums/summer songs? Personally...

Buffalo Tom - Everything but their last album, sounds just like summer. Christ, they even have a song called summer, and one called sparklers.

Sea and Cake - Pretty much all albums as well.

Radiohead's 'Pablo Honey' is a summer album for me (and much underrated)...

I'd say that Cure in general would be a winter album.... albums like Faith, Disintegration, Bloodflowers, etc etc are very dark and cold. Never heard the Boys Don't Cry album, isn't it the US version of Three Imaginary Boys, with a couple of different tracks.

Listening to Seventeen Seconds at the moment, cracking album. The Cures early stuff is fantastic (and up until Wish if you ask me).

Belle and Sebastian, The Boy with the Arab Strap, reminds me of Van Morrision, and Astral Weeks is great for lazy summer evenigs. Oh and DJ Shadow and Manu Choa were my summer holiday music last year.
