I have to say i love silver,when i first listened to doolittle that song sent a shiver down my spine,have to agree with everyone who says bailey's walk though,i didnt read the whole thread(being 6 pages long and all)so i dont know if anyones said "hey" yet?maybe not the worst but not one of the best

I love the song navajo know... but oh well to each his/her own...
actually I love most of the songs everyone has mentioned...
I can't think of any song I dislike enough to single out... I guess my post is pointless... I can say that cactus is one of my all time favorite pixies songs...
oh yeah and I'm not big on instrumentals either.... |

Yeah, except they skip a whole part to the song (namely the ending guitar part that Joey does.) same with "There Goes my Gun"...the guitar-bridge part just isn't there at all. I never understood why they recorded these condensed, incomplete versions for the BBC sessions! Both songs are still rockin as a motherfucker though, skipped parts or not.

It's hard (impossible?) to find bad Pixies songs, but my least favorites from each album would be:
Surfer Rosa: Broken Face
Doolittle: Silver
Bossanova: Hang Wire
Trompe Le Monde: Distance Equals Rate Times Time
B-Sides: Build High
Of course, these songs are all great in their own ways. I just don't appreciate them as much as others. I have to admit that Broken Face is really growing on me after several years of being driven crazy by the "Uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, uh huh ooo" part. I can now tell myself that it's all worth it because you have to go through the beginning to get to the "speaks no English" line, which I love for some reason.
Oh, and Stormy Weather is my second favorite song on Bossanova, right after Is She Weird. |

There's something about Trompe le Monde that really annoys me...I think it is all overblown, overproduced pap (except for the gorgeous Space (I Believe In.))
