Ok, so after I let everyone I know download these I next thought of everyone at frankblack.net and how much people would love to see these.
I bought a videocard and am in the process of making digital copies of tons of rare stuff I have on video. The first and obviously most important thing was to make digital copies of my rare pixies tv appearances that I have on nth generation tapes. The quality might look shitty and trust me the tapes don't look any better but it's better than nothing. I only have have 4 clips up so far but I will but up more soon. Please down't stream them, download them so you don't have to go to my site every time you want to watch them.

Wow, you rock! Thankyou so much! I was actually thinking of doing the same thing. I've got the Letterman appearance on tape. It's quality is complete shit but it's still pretty cool (They play Trompe le Monde.). If I ever get a video-card with that capability I shall indeed convert for everyone. Don't hold your breath, though, I have no money right now...heh.

Thanks Mattb... all of that was new to me.
I really liked it. I felt sorry for the Pixies when that guy labled their music as "Death Metal". He was an ass. I liked Kim's response tho.

This guy was a complete stupid. What the fuck is Death Metal?. I thought it was rock, but maybe I need to learn something more about modern music.

Well I am probably not the best person to define death metal, but is the way I see it is is like heavy/speed metal with a emphasis on dark themes such as death, hell ect. I can't think of any well known bands that fit this category but here are some links I found:

I put up two more things yesterday. Frank Black singing fashion with David Bowie for his 50th birthday concert and the breeders playing on some mtv concert special.
Death Metal is like really hard heavy metal. It's fast and lots of screaming.

The original files are mpegs and I was hoping to put them up in mpeg format as well but I couldn't figure out a way to do it that would have watchable quality and be small enough to make it reasonable to download. The software I have has tons of options and I basically had to play around with formats, kbps, audio types, compressions and a million other things until I found one that worked for me. Once I learn it better and know better what each setting will do I'm sure I'll figure out how to be able to put them in mpeg.

What an arrogant ass. Umm, we're in the band, I think I know what kind of music it is/isn't.
Death Metal bands are easily characterized by their ultra-cheesy/lame names: Doom Circus, Satan's Pinions, Hate Mongers R Us, etc...
Generally amelodic screaming, double kick, very heavy, and scarcely music at all other than a droning kick/snare and a distorted guitar chord.

I have what I hoped was the full bowie concert but found out a few years later that he did scary monsters with him too. There's tons of songs missing from my copy that I taped off muchmusic. I found a torrent for the whole concert though so when that downloads I'll put it up.
