i finally downloaded those itunes tracks. fucking great. Preachers Daughter is my new favorite song.
i have to say, after seeing him solo at McCabes last year, the live version of Don't Clip Your Wings blew this one away. he sang the background vocals himself. this is still great, but hearing that, obviously, was a treat.
i wish someone would have recorded that.

ya, those itunes are really good. i also purchased a live show from san fran (not sure if that is at mccabes). frank opened the set with 6 accoustic songs with eric drew feldman then played the rest of the set with the catholics. did an acoustic version of don't clip your wings. really enjoy the banter in between songs. frank was a bit chatty. he was listing edf's hobbies and something like how he enjoys camping, pets, long walks on the beach, and horseback. riding.

The four songs off of i-tunes are amazing. I'm not sure why Preachers Daughter was left off the album. I do prefer the acoustic version of Don't Clip your Wings, less the backing vocals and the guitar fully plugged in.

The show from Live at Slim's (www.hearitagain.com) with Eric D F tickling the ivories for the first six songs are incredible... and then when the electric guitar finaly hits in the middle of the Farewell Bend..., well that gets the old neck hairs jumping everytime.
