quote: Posted - 07/22/2004 : 07:32:34 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike - I know what you mean.
For instance, I am currently sitting in my college computer room. Theres not very many people in here, say around 10/12. I always sit right at the back of the room in the corner. There were two of the computer guys chatting a moment ago, near the front. I dont know what about ( listening to SMYT) but they kept looking over at me. Then as they walked out one of them smiled, licked his lips, and winked at me., Then continued out of the door, looking back at me, and to my ammusement almost walked in to the door frame. As I write this, they have re entered, and hes still staring at me. Creep. He is a part of the college staff, and ive just noticed HAS A WEDDING RING ON.
Was considering making a complaint, as fair enough in the street, but in college i expect to be at least a little free from being ogled at. Especially from staff. But then whats the point? Im wearing a low cut top, obviously im asking for it.
Of course, it is flattering when a guy is attracted to you. BUT there are much more subtle ways of doing it. Unfortunately that seems to be beyond most guys. The non sleazy, non creepy, non drooling, admiring look up and down, is fine, im fine with that. But there are limits. Like obviously staring at my tits.
How about taking a photo?
I would say I was more likely to look at a girl's face than her body, not that I can't appreciate that. Maybe I'm less pervy than most of you. Maybe I'm definitely less pervy than Tartar.
Also, if a pretty girl made eye contact with me in the street, I'd run as fast as I could into the nearest shop to avoid it happening again, inevitably colliding with one or more stationary objects on the way. Its all very well for providing tips for that sort of situation, but they'd be no use to a big coward like me.

I'm here to break it to you, DaisyGirl (and just so you fully understand our dilemma, seeing your name makes me wonder what you look like, it also reminds me of Daisy Duke and of those shorts that leave the ass hanging out) that it has nothing, or at least, very little to do with age. I'm 28 and am married. And no I do not think about women constantly, in fact I rarely think of them at all, that is until I see them and then Holy God! I fall in love six times a day to six different women. Actually I think it only gets worse as you get older, as least if you are in a long-term relationship. I've been in one for ten years, ten long years. And while I love my married life, love my wife, can totally see cheating if I was seduced properly. You know if in the wrong place and the wrong mood at the right time. The curse of the penis looms large.
Thanks.... I am putting my husband on house arrest and making him wear blinders.... totally kidding. My husband is also very cool with me because he knows I am a big flirt at heart. Although, I have cut way back since we were serious and keep it no more than PG-13 rated. I'm glad he trusts me that I won't do anything. I guess I am lucky because my husband is very descrete about his checking out other women... when we're together and I catch him we laugh about it. We have only been married 11 months so maybe we aren't bored yet. But it is hard not to let things turn into a rountine... it requires work. :)
In terms of cheating...I think the average male is easier to seduce but I think that if a woman cheats its more passionate and emotional. There was this ex boyfriend I had when I was younger...he cheated on me... I cheated on him... it became silly...we lost all respect for each other. So I think even though it might be hard not to cheat... it's better if you don't. |

I think the nicest way to show your 'appreiciation' is eye contact, and a smile,. not a sleazy smile, just a smile. guys that do that will always have my respect. Obviously in clubs/pubs/gigs environment its a different story..
I am sorry about those guys Gypsy. That is not cool. What complete loosers.
There is a difference between a wanted and unwanted sexual advance. And no one no matter what they are wearing deserves to be harrased.
Sometimes it's hard or impossible but I've found what works for me is to just make fun of them. Or just say something like back off creep what would your wife say? Or look at his crotch and say...well I can tell you are attracted to me but I don't hook up with loosers who don't make my size requrements...or do you need a cup to catch your drool...Or I know I have a beautiful rack but didn't your mom tell you that it's rude to stare? Or my boyfriend the weight lifter wouldn't like you looking at me like that. You get the idea.
I remember beening a teenager 14 but looking 16... it just grossed me out how many older men would check me out. Men in their 30's on up. Those were unwanted advances and that made me feel very bad. I still feel bad if it a group of men and I am alone. I just ignore those advances.
But I agree that the best way to flirt with a girl you want to score with is a smile. I have never/would never hook up with someone who's opening line is nice ass or nice tits.. :)

can I ask why you quoted me????
regarding the cheating thing, to a degree, I agree, I think if a woman cheats there is something SERIOUSLY wrong. If a guy cheats, he was most likely haned it on a plate. they are rarely gonna say no!

oops, sorry, there swas nothing after the quote when i last looked!
But yeah, i do usually throw something back at them. often 'oh come on, i have standards'. Or, 'like i would go any where near a moron with abaseball cap/adidas/soething else they are wearing. hah, yours are quite funny, ive used a few before. But my look of disdain usualy puts them off pretty quick.
When they do it in groups is the worse, its incredibly intimidating, and so not cool at all. Esp when they follow you. which they often tend to do.

Probably the best thing to do is post a link to naked pictures saying it's a naked picture because people look @ this at work and others might not want to see naked pics.
But I didn't say anything about the picture before... I thought it was artistic more than pornographic. But you guys are right...I wouldn't like to see naked pics all the time on the forum. |

Good I am glad! Groups can be bad. I was taking pictures on vacation in Greece once and a group of men approached me. I kept my distance, showed no fear and made eye contact and talked with them. Then one grabbed me and kissed me. I hit him in the balls with my camera and took off running! I escaped...but after that it makes me scared when I get followed. |

But yeah, I agree with Cheesy, I always look at the face. the face is the most important part of the body for me. I could look at a beautiful face forever.

Become an art major. I spent 4-6 hours a day drawing nude people. I really love how people look, no matter what shape. Curvy people are more fun to draw!

Girls,
Men go to bed with the body, wake up with the face, and eat dinner with the mind.
If your b/f avoids sleepovers but says he loves the sex, you have a nice body but you are ugly! If he spends sleeping hours with you but avoids conversation by always watching TV or being distracted one way or another (including always trying to have sex), you are hot! But sadly, you are dumb! If he wants to spend all his waking and sleeping hours with you, he respects your mind because you are smart, adores your body because you are sexy, and loves waking up to your face because you are pretty!

I wish I would have heard that ages ago :) Guys, if women let you sleep over, are open to exploring a relationship. If they kick you out are just looking for one thing. This is especially ture if they don't take care of the guy and let the guy take care of them. |

Women can look totally awesome, whether 90 lbs or 180 lbs....as long as they have the confidence to carry it off. Obviously, women who look curvy and toned are more appealing, no matter what size and height. |

I always check out good looking guys in the street and stuff, and have been known to do so quite obviously, and even mildly flirt....admittedly, this only is the case when im in a bad mood with my partner at the time, or he has done something of the same vain...or if i feel hes forgetting just how goddam lucky he is to be wih me and i could leave him for another guy at any minute! haha. Gotta keep em on their toes.
But as surfer rosa was saying, I think I probably spend about 60% of my day checking out other women. More so than i do guys. Much more in fact.
Just thought I'd throw that in there...
I don't mean to argue but wait wait wait... so it's okay for you to check out other guys and sort of flirt with them but your man can't do the same back to you. I know you said it's when you're mad at him but that doesn't seem too fair. Kind of a double standard, EXPLAIN YOURSELF!! I really don't care much, just thought I'd pick on you a little so don't take me too serious.

Yep, I absoloutely have double standards. When girls look at a guy, they are simply admiring, when a guy looks at a girl, theres nothing in the world that would stop them fucking her should she hand it to her on a plate. Guys have no restraint, girls do. I know i wouldnt cheat on a guy, but i knowthat no matter who the guy is, ill never find a guy whos not gonna fuck someone else behind my back. Ive become resigned to this, which is why im on strike from relationships.

Hmm...So..no man in the history of this world has had the ability to only "admire" women? I mean, I think I agree that most would fuck anything presented to them, but definitely not all. Especially when they're already in a serious relationship with someone. I don't know, I mean, I think most men have an alarm that goes off whenever that happens and while most tend to push it to the back of their mind others listen to it. Relationship with significant other > sex with someone else.
Ah, and I was thinking about something the other day...The divorce rate has been steadily climbing for a while, but is it because people cheat more or because more people get caught/fess up? Not that the reason is always cheating, but I'm sure it's one of the main reasons. Or is it because of the "religious values" of way back when that are nearly obsolete now? I know it was frowned upon to get a divorce a long time ago, but now it's not a big deal at all. It probably all boils down to what marriage means to people.
As far as "appreciating the female form"...I can respect that as long as it's not too pervy, haha.

Crouton, I used to think it was possible for a man to simply admire, yes, but until I am proven wrong, I am sticking to my theory that no guy will say no if its handed to them on a plate.
I think the divorce rate had gone up, in the case of cheating, because people dont stand for such crap any more. Men and Women particularly will not just forgive their husband for fucking someone else. Independency and strength have grown.

So every single guy has cheated on you? That really sucks, I'm sorry. It's hard to tell you, "Oh, don't let that change the way you see all guys blablafuckinbla." because you kind of have to in order to protect yourself. Not only emotionally, but physically too. I mean, there are a lot of STDs out there and that scares me a lot sometimes, haha. I saw a show where this guy had been diagnosed with HIV but he knew his girlfriend didn't have it, well, he thought he knew. She didn't when they started going out but she got it from a guy she cheated on him with. Talk about insult to injury, eh? hahaha...not really too funny..but OUCH.

I think the divorce rate in the US has gone down over the past decade or two.
Google result: I'm right. Since the early 80s per capita divorce rates have been heading down in the US.

Yay! I guess it just seems like more because I wasn't really aware of it at all until I was like 10 or so. I mean, I knew it, but I didn't know it until it happened to me, haha.

Ach stick the statistics I don't give a fuck about the statistics, I really don't, if america's divorce rate is going down then it got one thing right at least.
Divorce sucks, and it can fuck up families for a long time and I want to know why this happens? Don't get me wrong, I don't think people should stay together for the sake of it, why make each other miserable? But why does it happen? IS it just more acceptable now rather than be stuck in loveless passionless souless marriages? Is it easier now to get divorced? Do people think about what they're doing really before they get married? Is there some magic pressure that gets applied after the I do's? I don't know. Screw it I don't care either
