Directly from moveon.org:
We all remember the election of 2000. Because of faulty and mismanaged election systems, George W. Bush won Florida's electoral votes and the presidency. And now look at the mess we're in.
That hasn't been proven, right? In fact i thought studies have shown that bush would have won anyway. |

It hasn't been conclusively proven either way, as far as I know. Regardless of who would have won, though, I think we can all agree that the whole thing was a suspicious mess.

Studies have shown "conclusively" that Bush won in Florida, just as studies have shown "conclusively" that Gore won. If you make a claim either way, you're just quoting statistics to make your point, ignoring opposing statistics that are just as readily available.
With that said, I think that the best way to decide if things worked out as they should have is to look at the reaction from the people of Florida in the next major election.
The way I see it, if the people of Florida truly felt cheated, they wouldn't have voted to re-elect Governor Jeb Bush in 2002 by a 13% margin...or voted for Katherine Harris' successor as Attorney General by the same margin they elected Harris in the previous election...or voted to put Katherine Harris in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Yeah...haha...that's funny. Of course you knew! Otherwise, why else would you have had to explain it to us? After all, making others think you're a moron drives them absolutely insane with rage.
Damn, Chump, you get the last laugh every time, don't you..?
Take me, break me, tell me a good one and maybe I'll cry

Champ, I'm going to pretend I've never had the misfortune of meeting you, because sarcasm is no fun when the person you're mocking is too much of a fucking moron to know the difference. |

GRRGGGGHH, I truied, i tried to restrain myself, but I can NOT.
I was bought up in a very homosexual world. My mum is gay, and she and her long term partner bought me up for the majority of my life.
In relation to all of my friends lifes, mine was much more settled, much more open, hardly any arguements, I had and have a much better idea of the world, and was obviously much more open minded. I have a much higher social awareness than any of my friends. I generally had a much happier and healthier childhood. I had a childhood where no conversation was uncomfortable to talk about, nothing was a taboo, and i discussed everything with my mothers.
Im nto saying gay parents are better parents. What I am saying is why THE FUCK WOULD IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Just thought I'd throw that in there... |

Yes, Im comparing it to a variety of my friends upbringing, mostly all 2.4 families.
I tried to restrain my self because the arguements got a little heated last time this topic was raised
Just thought I'd throw that in there... |

The Champ: I know I'm French and shouldn't say this, but your spelling is really hopeless. I mean, if you hit the keyboard randomly, you would probably get better results.

We can move on when you admit that you were molested by your preacher, and have severe moral and psychological repurcussions as a result of it. |

When getting into an heated arguement it is important to be both gramattically correct and to spell things well. everyone knows dichodomy has an "aitch" in it. also, ...many kids would be lucky to have either parent or any parents. and, why did you precede argument with "logically" it should just be "logical", is that logical?
"Too cool for Cults"
Shiney, Thank you for all of your advice and thank you for teaching me a new word, gramattically. I bet you have to be careful to not include it in letters to your grandma.
ah, touche! grandma would not like that. btw, original post was all sarcastic, no personal attack intended (not unlike the speeling and gramar errars).

The twisted warped mind of Glacial strikes again. You really dug deep into your subconscious to come up with that statement eh?, maybe you should write a book. |

To be fair, if I had to raise two-fifths of a child, I'd be pretty messed up too.

At least the preacher bought him a soda first.
On a more serious note, I have to agree with this:
