Who's in London tuesday night?
I hate myself for doing this, hehe, BUT, I promise it'll be worth it. My band THE SECRET HAIRDRESSER are headlining Club Fandango at The Dublin Castle, Camden, London on Tuesday 6th July. We sound like a cross between The Pixies, My Bloody Valentine, early Weezer, with 5 part boy/girl harmonies, miaoowing, handclapping, plenty of Moog action, and frankly, brilliant songs. It'd be nice to see some sympathetic music fans there. www.thesecrethairdresser.co.uk We have over 30 free MP3s on our site. I'd recommend starting with our Peel Session. Sorry again for advertising on here, but we're worth it... |

As much as I also hate this shameless advertising! He's right. They are very good. Are you playing post-September London dates Jason?

I won't be there unfortunately. I had to get the hell out of there after this Saturday's fb.net meet-up before I started talking like a cock-er-nee!

Hey Jason, I REALLY like that 'Leap Of Faith'. I have never heard you guys before but I have been downloading songs since I saw this topic and I like a lot of what I have heard. But yeah, 'Leap Of Faith' is amazing! I am gonna buy it.

We won't be gigging again after this til probably October, cos Rob (drummer) is going to Malaysia for 2 months, damn him! We're not doing Leap Of Faith at this gig, but it does drift in and out of the set. One day we'll do a proper recording of it. Anyway, we've gotta pack the van up to leave for London now, so thanks for not getting pissed off at me for mentioning the gig on here. Cheat Commandos, rock rock on!!! By the way, I had a great acoustic solo version of The Man Who Was Too Loud, recorded backstage at Reading Festival 1994 (as far as I can remember), but I can't find it anywhere. Do any of you have it?

Yeah, good luck tonight. I can't make it, but I'll be sure to go to any London gigs of yours after September. I was meaning to go to your last one (at the Bull and Gate? I forget) but couldn't make that either!

Where are you 2 from by the way, and can I put you on TSHs mailing list, in which case, can you email me so that I have your email addresses? jason@thesecrethairdresser.co.uk The gig (and that Bull & Gate one) was good by the way, and we'll be back in London in October I reckon, as well as playing at Wrath Records "Wrathstonbury" in Leeds on 9th Oct, and a bunch more gigs around that time. Did anyone manage to find a copy of that acoustic version of "The Man Who Was Too Loud" by the way??? I still can't find it... |

Hey Jason, I'm from Northampton. I think you put me on the mailing list few months ago (I've been getting updates, so I must be on it!). I emailed you a few times around when you did that Peel session, and commended your lefty but righty guitar playing. Heh, remember? It was a while ago. I'll be living in London after September so I'll be sure to turn up to any London dates then.
Not sure where to find the acoustic 'Man who was too loud', have you tried the FB.net FTP?

Watch Mel, she's a well known groupie around London and Brighton.
Jason, you can email me through my profile, then I will email you back. I'd love to be on your mailing list.
So do you play left handed like me?

Aah yes, I just noticed (on your website) you play a right handed guitar, left handed. Have you changed the strings or left them like Tom does (he's odd).

Watch Mike, he's a well known groupie around London and Manchester.
Just ask the guitarist from Nine Black Alps...
And it's hard to be a human being, and it's harder as anything else, and I'm lonesome when you're around, and I'm never lonesome when I'm by myself, and I miss you when you're around. |

Watch Bumble. He likes small boys. His confession is on another topic somewhere.

Yes, i use a right handed guitar, but held left handed. I don't change the strings round. Although, I can play that way too, but not as good... I tried the ftp loads of times, but I can't get it to work. I'll try again. I'll try to put Homers_P_M on the list through your profile. rock rock on! Are any of you lot Homestar Runner fans? |

That's how Tom plays. I had never heard of that before 'til I knew he did it. I am just a standard lefty (that sentence doesn't seem right somehow). Such a pain in the arse trying to get lefty guitars though. Lucky for you, you don't have to.
