I bought this album on Monday and I love it. Anyone else got it?
I missed out on the chance to see them live last night 'cos I went to see The Walkmen (who were not that impressive) which I am a bit gutted about.
Yet more fantastic Scandanavian pop. The lead singer has a voice that is in danger of melting hearts. Beautiful.
Your comments on this band please.

It seems people here are not that interested in anything new in music, as nobody ever respond to posts about new bands (my last topic for example).

HPM, I just downloaded "You can't hurry love." And...I like it, I like it a lot. I'm going to get a few more tracks, and will definatly have to pick up the album. Good call! It's always nice to hear good stuff you've never heard before. Another reason why the forum is so kickass. Kickass!...

Yippee! I am so glad you like it. I requested it last night at the club I was in with Mel and Bumble. I think Mel may have danced to it. I know I did. It is such a good song.

I probably danced to it...there was little I didnt dance too...I dont remember really leaving the dance floor. apart from the occasional breaks..ahem.
You didnt only dance to pixies, you danced to pavement too bumble!!
By the way, i dont know which one of you it was, but we were having a conversation and i ran off cos sonic youth came on...so sorry for being so rude!
On topic : I bought the concretes single on 7"...and then realised i have no way of playing it any more!!! But yeah, from what ive heard they seem alright. ill give em a proper listen eventually.

Damn it. Why don't they hold dances like that where I come from? Pixes? Pavement? I've never gone dancing before in my life. That is mostly due to the shitty music they play at these dance clubs. Now if they were playing the Pixies, that would be a whole different story. I always just end up locking myself in my room and rockin' out by myself. Oh, and back to the topic of the Concretes, I'm listening to that single now, and it is pretty cool. I guess it is a little generic sounding, but that is because I'm only really half listening. I like the horns.

yeah, indie clubs rock...and smile (the one we went to ) i have to say is near on one of the bestive been to. PLus the dj kept playing verything i wrote down. He musta been pretty annoyed by the end., Ijust kept going up and scribbling 'PAVEMENT' 'PIXIES'

But yeah, it was a very good night, and i thouroughly enjoyed it, BUT simon did give it a lot of hype....which made my expectations to be very high.

so, i just bought this concretes album. it is fantastic. i would describe them as the raveonettes mixed with sigur ros.
i also picked up the new Secret Machines, the Wren's 'meadowlands', and neko case's 'blacklisted.' great music all around.
