great song....probably my fav of COP.
lyrics are..well...interesting..
like how frank apologises for them on the 'dream is over' boot.
it's a great set opener - just works so well on the T&C dvd.

always wondered what "this aint no holiday..." referred to.
i'm not one for disecting and confusing myself with hidden meanings to lyrics, but just wondered what it means in context with the song.
just coz its a damn fine tune. 100% perfection

Great song. I love the natural ambience on the Pixies' earlier recordings, especially on this song. This was one of the first songs from "Come on Pilgrim" (the other being "I've Been Tired") that really grew on me. I love to play it (guitar) as well.

| one of their first sparks of perfection and musical genius in terms of originality and style. Classic scream with the "Nooo NOOOOOOOOowwwww" that you just have to love. Great riff by Joey that gives the whole thing life, Kim and Frank with their strange harmony working.... very nice. 5 thumbs up. |
