I admit I haven't done a thorough site search, but having clicked through the forums over the last few months, and having stumbled upon no specific queries about it, I have to ask:
Is loudQUIETloud actually going to come out on DVD? Not all of us can get to the few arthouse cinemas in the US of A that appear to be the only outlets available so far.

Not for a littel while, anyway, I woudn't think-remember, it's only been premiering at film festivals up until recently. So, maybe it'll get a limited release in a variety of countires first-that's my guess, anyway!!

The dates of the festival are 14th - 27th August. The times or that haven't been announced yet. A day trip to Edinburgh will be fun, it'll probably mean a day off school as well:) It says on the loudQUIETloud website all the festivals it's being shown at, this seems to be the only British one thus far.

I might try to make it up to Edinburgh myself but it seems unlikely, with my laziness and all...

Duno bout you, but we go back on the 14th. If your English I'm pretty sure you go back later, but we come off first anyhoo. I'm from Dundee, so it'll only be like an hour on the Megabus (£1!!)

Yeah, I'm English so I think I go back at the beginning of September.
I'll probably not go anyway because of the cost etc. Plus, trains are too unreliable.

I'd guess that there is a chance it'd be on at the Galway Film Fleadh/Festival (whatever it's called)
If i was to give a guess on the dvd release, i'd say(hope) late summer.

Oooo, where abouts? I moved up to the new Wimpy houses in Ardler near enough exactly a year ago, next to the pond, near the Downfield golf club, but I lived in Menzieshill before that, next to the Shand.

I'm in Eden Street, off the Arbroath Road. Is the Shand the one overlooking Ninewells? Only been there once, on a work's night out (a long time ago)...

Well theres a couple along there so it could be. The Rock's on the same road, up from the Community centre, The Shand (used to be called The Jimmy Shand) is next to the roundabout at the top of Ninewells Avenue.

Pixies documentary hits the UK
Controversial film part of festival
Pixies controversial documentary 'loudQUIETloud: A Film About the Pixies' is to get another airing in the UK.
The film, which got its' UK premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival last month, is one of the main attractions of Resfest, the touring cinematic festival.
The Pixies film will be shown as part of the festival's Bristol residency at the Watershed between October 25-29.
As previously reported by NME.COM, the controversial film was criticised by Pixies leader Frank Black. He referred to the finished version as "exaggerated" and the filmmakers "naïve".
Also showing at the festival is a retrospective of Radiohead videos, 'Radiohead, the Visionaries: A Decade of Breaking New Talent' and 'Rock The Bells', a documentary about the Wu Tang Clan.
Resfest will call at:
Bristol Watershed and Arnolfini (October 25-29)
London National Film Theatre (November 14-19)
Dublin Irish Film Institute (December 7-10)

Wow, thanks a lot for the heads up, Homers! I was hoping it'd get a showing over here. I'll definitely be going to this. The IFI is a nice little place in Temple Bar with a book/DVD store bar, and coffee shop.
Just checked it out on the IFI site, don't know if the dates in the NME story are wrong or they're additional screenings (they probably are), but apparently it's being shown as part of the Stranger Than Fiction season at 10:00 PM on Friday the 29th of September:
