saw the pixies on saturday fuckin deadly best live show i ever saw, the thrills were pure shite,i arrived at the gig at about one o clock and all the pit one passes had been given out,the people who got them were mainly rhcp fans and other assorted muppets so we could only get passes to pit 2 which was not too bad but later on in the day we were walkin around, me the brother and a friend and this head comes up and offers to sell us a pass for pit 1 for 30euro i managed to haggle the prick down to 20 not bad i think, he told us one of the bouncers gave him 9 pit one passes and he sold them all for 20 to 30 euro.i think he was targeting pixie fans cos the 3 of us were in our new pixie t shirts,so to see the pixies it cost me 80 euro but it was worth it in the end they were class just kept bangin out the songs,we left the gig when the pixies left the stage as we were going out there were still rhcp fans just comiin in some of them asked why we were going so early to which we said the gig is over you missed it YOU FOOLS |

Which one?! I've about 30 from the gig but most of them have the Pixies being blurry.
I'm gutted we didn't try and get into Pit 2 now :( |

I moved to Ireland September 29th, saw FB&TC at Vicar Street, spent the rest of the time until June 12th avoiding Trinity College. First time seeing both of my favourite bands... Pixies gig was awesome, somehow I managed to get a wristband for pit 2 just before the Thrills came on, and amazingly, I stumbled across 6 of my friends among the crowd! Who else noticed Bono and the Edge to the right backstage? My time was almost ruined because of these two ignorant "Chili willi" fans right next to me who stood stock still with their arms crossed the whole time the Pixies were up there and this drunk guy behind me who kept picking up plastic bottles and putting them in his pants... But then there were some really cool girls right next to me as well, got separated before I could ask for the good looking redhead's name but she tried to get a mosh pit going and shrieked like a Busted fan when Broken Face started. Went to Doyle's afterwards and was shocked when the bouncer asked questions at the door, since when did Doyle's care about how drunk you were trying to get in? The DJ upstairs played Gigantic and Debaser as well, me and my friends went crazy and started pogoing in the middle of all these uninterested people... Best day of my life so far.

Hello all,
Saturday was awesome, the Pixies totally stole the show and rocked harder than anyone I've ever seen. I'm just dying to get my hands on an audio recording or a video of the gig - anyone have one or know where I can get one - please! I'm desperate!!!! Whoever posted that clip of HCYM, is the rest of the vid available anywhere? It was the best musical experience of my life, and I'd really love something to remember it by. Thanks

Yeah, it would be great to get the audio or video from it. I've been listening to that HCYM clip a few times a day to cheer me up in work. They're all sick of me going on about Pixies, but fuck 'em. They just have no idea. Still gobsmacked at how good they were. And at how off me tits I was despite being sober. |

I'm uploading 'Where Is My Mind' as I type. Getting shunned against the barrier isn't fun when trying to film it, and having 3 people taller than you infront of you doesn't help- so the camera is pointing to the top of the stage for most of it :( |

In the Gigantic clip, you have to love the look on the face of that guy in Dublin jersey ... it's like "Oh you're actually interested in this, are you? But these aren't even the Pepper Chilis ..." |

HOW FECKIN' GOOD WHERE THEY? they put the strained voices of the chilis to shame, difference between Pixies and most rock bands? Pixies saound like their albums...brilliant, emotional, and seeing 110,000 people bounce to Debaser was cool...

hey guys, twas indeed amazing! i waited at the zoo gates from 6.35 in the morning, and we were herded like cattle until 11.30 when they made us run to the field, which really pissed us off cos we thought we wouldn't get into the pits, but we got into pit 1! i was the 3rd person from the barrier, and so only a few yards from joey. i'm only starting to realise how amazing it was looking back. did ye see the 'kim for president' banner? i dunno if ye mentioned it, ididn't have time to read this all. anyway, other good things happened, like some1 recognised me from my band! but a damper was put on things when i almost lost consciousness a few times during the end of the set, cos i'm not that big. oh and some shithead lumped me in with the other 1000 teenager 'fans' while passing me by saying, 'look at all these kids wearing pixies t-shirts. posers.' which i agree with, but i know he was adding me into the equation! who cares, kim said wicklow. never thought i'd see the day! oh and noone around me knew the feckin words. but i think bono saw me sceamin along to isla de encanta and tame. |

Kim said Wicklow and made it sound soooo nice. Much better than Wicklah.
Holy shit. Can't believe you were queueing from half six in the morning. Jeebus. No wonder we couldn't get anywhere near the front arriving at half four.

it was hell up to when we got into the front pit though. when we finally ran in the entrance to the pit we collapsed from exhaustion. it was ...pandemonium. people were behaving so barbaric. but i'd say that was more the rhcp fans then us nice Bam Thwok folk. |

I'm starting to think I was better off where I was (bout 6 or 7 rows back from the 3rd barrier, bit to the right of Kim when it started, but that changed after a bit of pogoing). Couldn't see shit, but got to jump about and sing with a good few people who were into it as much as I was.
Two things I saw that someone else here might have - during the bouncing, some guy with a crutch appeared from nowhere saying 'mind the bad leg lads'. Myself and a couple of others just looked at each other stunned. And I saw some lad with a burger stuffed into his mouth that had been on the ground - looked like it was full of grass and muck. Lurvely. |

Can honestly say that even after 7 years in London nothing compares to the front rows at an Irish Pixies/FB gig. |

It's a little something I like to call Rock 'N' Roll |

The girl that got on our coach had asthma, she was begging for an inhaler, saying she was looking for one the whole concert and it was driving her nuts. If thats her, which it probably wasnt, she got one - You can sleep easy. |

Don't feel guilty Brackish Girl - it's there own fault for not making it available to us legally! It's good ain't it. What a week - see the pixies live and hear a new song from them!
